Trailer and cargo masses.
Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
Are the cargo and trailer masses listed in the link by Robbit in pounds or kilograms? And could these figures be changed in game by a mod to be accurate to real life max weight of 80,000 pounds, or just under with half of a fuel load? Fuel would depend on the total amount carried by the various fuel tank amounts used in-game. For both Quick Jobs and Freight Market.
But then again I assume the "sim" sets you up with the correct overweight permits too. I've not seen any tickets yet for grossing 90,000 plus pounds of weight on the highways of the states we can drive in now. LOL

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
The masses are in kilograms. And at this moment there isn't any penalty for being overweight in either games, although ATS has it's truck scale system which in the future should play its part in the process.
Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
Here's an updated list, which also includes a few more trailer/cargo related data (e.g. fragility & COG), and also has a list of companies, so you can find out who ships what: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... p2X4e5h1q0

Omg.... How long did it take to create this list
Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
Oh, about 20 seconds... [ external image ]
Once my script to crawl the config folders was done...
(Which I needed anyway, since I was planning to do some wholesale modifications of the cargo files. So, no big deal.)

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
I didn't want to create a new thread and thought i'd ask here.
Does anyone know:
- why the mass of mobile crane's changed to 36t? I remember that it was about 50t while ago.
- why tipper trailers in this game feels so unstable while driving? It feels like you're slipping on ice and i don't get same feeling with other trailers.

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
- because this type of crane should have around 36t.
- because they are. they are short and have high positioned cargo.

Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.
