Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
@Arayas what you say is about 20 years or more ago . With some of the old stuff that still drives around in the east it might happen.
But on the newer ones the retarder will hold a truck downhill with 44 tonnes total weight or even more.
I've got a Scania and that one when it's not over 7% it'll slow my truck down instead of keeping the same speed. Over that it'll hold the same speed. When you let it run over 90km/h you might have to brake once.
Going up I don't go in the lower group. That's below 7th gear and I only got 410, we're normally 40 tonnes or over with a tanker. In Belgium we're 44 tonnes and it holds itself with the retarder and 5/6% going down at Liege or Namur.
I started with a 320 Scania 3 series (I drive long enough) and that wouldn't even go under 5th gear out of 8. Low group was 1 to 4, only had to go back to 4 once in the UK with over 44 tonnes on a small a road towards Poole.
I've been all over Europe in the last 20 years, never had a high powered truck.
About speed, pull fuse 1 on a old Scania and over 140 easy with the right gearbox.
160km/h with a Dakar MAN with 1000hp (gearbox was supposed to be standard.
Brakes are like a car, I can brake the whole thing with my big toe. I'm driving on my socks.
@dahaka was right with his things.

What? A standard 4x2 and 3 Axel curtainsider should be able to load up to about 26-27 ton, Never seen higher than 22 tonnes iirc, and 5 Axel 40 ton total is alowed in all of Europe.xXCARL1992Xx wrote: ↑24 Apr 2020 13:34 there are more then enough loads from 25 to 36t if you drive in the country that supports this kind of cargo mass

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
and nobody talked about a 4x2
i already had loads up to 36t with a 6xX and 3 axle trailer in Finland because with 6 axles you can have a GVW of 56t with 7 axles 60t

No but you say that there is plenty of cargo from 25-36 in supporting countries. up to 27 ton should Apply to all countries in Europe Which it dont, so my point is regardless of the Country you should be able to load Max of 27 ton With 5 axels (Curtainsider), loads over 27 ton is depending on Axel config and country. Leading to the question you answer at first That there dont Seem to be heavy Loads aviable.

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
If the freight markets for own container trailers can be reviewed, a 40-foot container has a net weight of 28 tonnes and a gross weight of 30 tonnes.
Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
net weight refers to the capacity of the container. These containers weight about 2350kg empty, and got a load capacity of 28t because 30t-2t=28t. If you load that container to it's full capacity, chances are you won't be allowed to carry it in many European countries, as your truck might exceed 40 tons total.

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
25.5 or 26.5T depending if it is a HC or not, also exactly for this is the regulation that you can drive with 44t within a defined radius from the cargo area you took the container from to the next terminal where it is distributed from in Germany and i bet other countries have similar rules so that there is no clash between weight laws and ISO containers, a standard 40ft container can weight 4t, a HC almost 5t, the decals SCS uses are the same for 20 and 40ft container, so they need to completely redo them
20ft is 22G0 or G1, a 40ft container is 42G0 or G1 in the variants we have ingame, and then also use at least the information wikipedia gives on ISO containers for the brutto, netto and tara weights
same goes for the company code, it is U at the end and not X
and the declaration 32X1 is also fundamentally wrong, 32 is a standard 30ft container, 22 is for a standard 20ft container

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
The company code could be wrong on purpose, but the other numbers should be fixed indeed.
About the regulations you mention, in Spain 44t are allowed for 5 or 6 axles combinations (tractor+trailer) that carry 20' or bigger ISO containers. I don't see any mention of a limited distance from the source and destination for the cargo.

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
I noticed, that SCS made the locomotive be able to load on the lowloader trailer.
The problem is, it can't be loaded without save editing, because the extended 4 axle lowloader can only carry a bit under 60 tons and the loco is 61. Now there is the short 1+4 axle lowloader, that would be able to load it due to the one more axle. Sadly the 1+4 is not extendable, which makes it in my opinion a bit useless, because why build the cargo, but make it unable to be loaded? I'd lke SCS to add the extended version of that trailer

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
By my calculations there are two variants of lowbed (but none of the lowboy) - scs.lowbed.single_41_ln.long and scs.lowbed.single_5_ln.long - on which you can load the loco. I'm not in a position to fire up the game and check that just at the moment, but the numbers suggest it should be possible.
