So glad somebody else has noticed the weights are different. I thought taking all my mods off had messed something up on my profile at first.

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
SCS has adjusted all trailers and cargo to reach a more realistic scale. This is why many has been changed.

Re: Trailer and cargo masses.
You are welcome to enlighten me here, what they should have been instead.
I did also have some which I was thinking was wrong, but SCS did prove me wrong.
So please come forward. I am 100% sure that if you find some where SCS could be wrong, they will gladly update them.

13t would put an excavator in the "small" category. Personally the looks of the excavator in ETS2, the body having considerable girth and bulk, has the bearing of "medium" excavator, e.g. CAT 326F .
Certainly much more than a "small" excavator such as the CAT 311F
Just take a look at Cat's site, the 311F is considerably smaller and compact than the model depicted in game.
For example, the 311F (13.9t). Note the short and compact body behind the cab, and the tracks sized only just about the body length

The 326F (25t), much bigger engine housing of a similar size to that in game, and tracks extending outside of the body:

Excavator from in game:

To me, Cat's 13t excavator looks to have a body size about half that of the excavator in game, and a track base larger than the body itself. Personally I'd judge this to be a medium excavator. I'm sure there is some actual precise model information though that SCS can provide to show why they chose 13t
Edit: addendum: It has the def file name "overweight.excavator". What's "overweight" supposed to mean then, if not actually heavy?
