If you right-click on the trading cards, and select "Open link in a new tab" you should get full-size images from those cards. For example: Prestige & Reliability Full Size
There are also all backgrounds available, and all the other info you might need.

They are collectibles and also can be traded for other Steam items or sold for cash.

Playing the game for a couple of hours is enough to earn the 3/4 cards that will drop. After that you need to buy/trade for them.
