Hello ETS2...Goodbye TS2016!

#1 Post by StensonTrucker » 01 Jan 2016 16:32

After many years of playing different incarnations of Train Simulator, and having become a little disillusioned with the product, I decided that I needed a change.

As ETS2 is a bit of a bargain in the current Steam Sale, I've gone an purchased it........ and '"WOW"....

No more stuttering graphics
Instant load times (I did spend huge amounts of money on computer parts in the 'hope' I could get TS2016 to run adequately)
Fantastic graphics and gameplay

So it's 'bye-bye' to Train Simulator and the hundreds of pounds I've spent on it, and 'hello' to ETS2, which I hope will keep me entertained for many more years than my previous simulator!

Cheers, and Happy New Year!

Welcome to the forum, and Happy New Year. I think you've made a wise decision. You'll find SCS is a much more generous company to purchase games and DLC's from. After their holiday break that I am assuming they've taken like most companies do, they will be working on the 23rd update for ETS2 and American Truck Simulator is due for release in February...

Welcome! With this game you'll never spend more than a few bucks and will have lots more fun, imo. ;)
And wait til you see it with mods. Free mods, btw :)
Retired, but still loving it.

I'm almost ashamed at the amount of $$$ I've thrown at RailSim DLC...
Never argue with idiots. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
