Are you willing to pay for a upgrade of the base map?

#1 Post by danbywinby » 14 Nov 2016 13:25

Hi All

Loads of us have said that we would like the base game map updated to make it as good as the DLCs. Most particularly the UK and Germany.

As we all know SCS cannot work for free so let's tell Scs how much we are willing to pay for this.

Please select an option above?

Well nothing because I have paid the base map already and I don't pay it twice, SCS is going to rescale ATS is it fair to ask people money for the rescale?

How many times do you think Fifa players has payed for Fifa, if they has bought Fifa 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16,
and how many times did I pay for Farming Simulator if I bought 2013, 15 and 17.

Yes they had a few improvements over time, and if base map also had that, why not pay for that, as we do with many other games.
And if you don't want to pay, then that must be because you are satisfied with current basemap.. Just thinking out loud here. ;)

This dlc is impossible to do,because it would hurt multiplayer badly (two players, one has remade map dlc and one doesnt, what would they both see?),and SCs is semi-supporting mp,so they are aware of that

This is not more different than a MultiPlayer who has bought Going East or North and one who did not?

Except those two didnt modify the base map in any way,it just added more road nodes and connection, but the existing ones stayed untouched

Everyone will get the modified (France) base map for free in a update, so everyone will have the same base map again.
And there was changes to the base map as well when Going North came out.

Yes, i would pay €50 for a qualitative upgrade and rescale of the map as well as some other features that i have discussed elsewhere.
I could even go higher depending on just how far SCS would be willing to go with it.

The map IS the game for me. The trucks are fine and dandy but i spend most of the time ON the map. Not licking the dirt off my truck...

As for multiplayer... 3rd party, their problem. I am sure they can find a solution.
This is no different from any other game that has paid content or mod content. Good luck finding a stock FS15/17 game that is frequented.
