Eesh, if SCS becomes like Train Simulator devs I'll stop playing. Supporting the devs for more content is one thing, what those guys do is rape their customers.

TS is the whole another beast. It's very old game. Dovetail is run by former EA UK executives...

And I have that game, too with a lot of DLCs. They give away free update every year but it's questionable.

Too many DLCs are not problem because you buy what you like. It's their quality which vary wildly :(.

Rescale to 1:10 opposed to it not needed for ETS2 or ETS3 or ATS. Fixing dangerous intersections from the GTS and UKTS era and refresh of core ETS2 map I will pay for it if needed. After Italy DLC rebuild Germany, Netherlands, Belguim, Swiziterland, Austria even if it removes the dangerous intersections that is fine.

Before any rescale, base upgrade or ETS3 we need Iberian Peninsula!

Everything will be okay in the end, and if it`s not okay, it`s not the end.

TrainSim's DLC isn't all Dovetail though. It's a lot of 3rd party stuff that Dovetail offers as official content. In other words, it's payware mods and their business model is set up that way.
If you don't want the DLC then don't buy it.

We are (currently) discussing whether a map update for the game could be crowd funded. If you don't want it then don't offer anything for it. You would still get it for free IF it was crowdfunded and SCS actually want to do it. Which is another point, SCS must actually WANT to do it in the first place. They are the ones that are going to be handling all the bug reports for it after the fact.
On extended hiatus.

I wasn't complaining or moaning about DLC's, neither SCS or Dovetail. I have several TS Simulator DLC's and some of them were really expensive. If I like I buy, that's my motto for every DLC or game.
Regarding the ETS2 map update, I agree and will fund it if needed, but I keep saying that IMHO we need at least the Iberian Peninsula addition before that. Western and even Central Europe look incomplete without it, and that has nothing to do with Portugal being my country. There's that weird cut in the French south borders and game seems incomplete. Just my 2 cents.

Hello! I think that the biggest problem is the difference in the income of people in the world. In one country, EUR 20 is nothing, in another it can be half a month's livelihood. Those who steal, steal whatever is the price.
Personally I have bought 3 games with DLC. To play with both sons. Because I need to buy triple, I would like to be cheaper.
