The "thank you SCS" thread!

#1 Post by bromstarzan » 17 Jan 2017 15:46

Ok, came back to ETS2 after a natural break (newborn daughter) and my 3 year old son got hooked on Minecraft :-)
So, with the patches since last time I played and also keeping an eye on Promods, I must convey my gratitude to the devs of this piece of art. It is a fantastic game and just want to say thank you for the entertainment that this title provides.

I have not yet installed ATS, nor have I explored the world of trucks feature, but I will eventually.

Feel free to chime in with pleasant experiences to motivate SCS to take this great title to even greater future heights!

All the best,
Broms

Very nice idea! I'll sure gonna make use of this every now and then!

EDit: BTW, @bromstarzan, congrats to becoming a father. The jouney ahead of you may at times be very thrilling and excieting, almost as excieting as driving a truck in ETS2 ;) ;)

Have to say this game exceeded all my expectations. Thanks, SCS!

A few weeks later, I have now tried ATS also.
First the DEMO version which instantly suggested I'd get the full ATS game (it was that good, yes).
So, it was quite handy to get ATS full game just in time for a Steam sale, and as far as I know there's an expansion into New Mexio in the works.

I really like the ATS so far, it constantly reminds me of my (IRL) roadtrips to the States. Fantastic work and big applause to all the devs working on this truck simulator alternative! I can see myself downloading every state SCS choose to provide in the future. It is simply amazing.

With these two titles running hot, one wonders if the strategy is to expand the geography or looking deeper into Multiplayer alternatives. I'd be happy whatever SCS set their focus on, but wouldn't it be a blast seeing a MP feature resembling TDU(1)?

I don't want to turn this thread into a wishlist, just simple "THANK YOU" SCS for awesome work!
Cheers,
Broms

PS: I also registred at World of Trucks but don't see the big point, yet. Some more delivery options, but what else? DS.

Amazingly well done American scenery. Love it.
The trucks are also very well modelled and I am currently enjoying the exploration and levelling up to buy a Kenwood with a sleeping cabin :)

Just a small question: Is it possible to turn off the dashboard GPS? I usually choose a truck that doesn't have this feature so I can enjoy the navigation by traffic-signs.

Perhaps it can be turned off via config/txt files?

All the best, and looking forward to an update that includes Monument valley in Arizone-Utah!

Check your key bindings and add a key binding for "Dashboard Map Mode" and you can use that key to cycle dashboard gps modes (including "off")
