I'm only guessing here as it is not something I have tried, but it might be possible to do with simple def editing, rather than using "default" for the paintjob part use specific skin links. But again that's a pure guess.

You should be able to do it with the look: (in def) and point to paintjob part in company folder.
Did not try, but as I see double trailers are calling that file from def files, and each trailer in a double calls for each own paintjob, then I would guess you can do it.

Managed to get it so that the second trailer uses it's own skin instead of the same one as the first trailer.

No, I didn't saw this video, the time I parked in the hard spot of norfood it was at the back yard where we usually park the single trailers.

I already made a video but it's on external camera since i was just checking how it will fit there.
