I have to disagree on Montana. Montana is no larger than ETS2 dlc's actually. Not to mention its only the 3rd largest US state. Outside of Texas and California, ATS maps are smaller unless grouped together. Area wise its smaller than Black Sea and definitely content wise. Montana is empty compared to ETS2 dlc. Majority of Europe is not empty lands like the Western US. There's a ton that goes into ETS2 maps. The roads and cities are somewhat denser. The amount of companies and cultures are different. Each country has different requirements, more than any ATS map. ATS is more uniform where as the devs have to really do serious research to get thing more appropriate in ETS2 because of all the differences.

If just counting the area, then Montana is bigger than Black Sea DLC. Content wise, it will be a bit less, I guess.
But as you point out, area is not everything.
But Washington DLC that is in area size half of Black Sea DLC, well 2x WA's is just barely less than 2 Black Sea, in area.
And content wise? Then Washington DLC has quite a nice amount of roads, cities etc.

Whenever Western Balkans come, it will be quite stuffed, I think.
Fennocandian x2? less stuffed and more roads, I hope.
Road to Moscow? or whenever Moscow comes?
I, do not know what is in between the Baltic countries and Moscow, even when I have checked Google Maps.
Well, Rzjev, Velikije Luki atleast as bigger cities.
Between Sankt Petersburg and Moscow, there's some big cities between these 2 cities.
Belarus, there will be roads, cities etc.

@flight50 lower 48. Yes, Montana is 3rd largest, all of US though Montana is 4th largest behind Alaska, Texas, California

Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and West Balkans are the top guns in my book. In part, in whole, I have no idea. I have to rule out Ireland and Iceland for the next few years. Ireland probably really does need a UK rebuild and Iceland is really out there by itself. Together Ireland and Iceland makes sense as one dlc but UK needs to be redone first perhaps.

Yes, the lower 48 and that is only if you go by area. Area means nothing in ATS/ETS2. SCS doesn't map by area, they map roads and only so many miles/km off those roads. I thought we all debunked this area stuff long ago.

Area ≠ Road miles/km
Italy DLC is an example.

But then there is how one counts roads.
Lane mile/km or other way.

We all want(at least some of us that is)Western Balkan to be the next, but let me tell you something, due to the amount of borders here and the toll stops that we have on every step, driving through here will be one nice stop and go festival.

I hope Croatia joins Schengen before the West Balkans will be done, then we would have less border controls.

@saur44l , how bad is it with borders?
Those usually take their big amount of space.

Belarus is just like the Baltics. Green and flat. I know some truckers who drive thru it to Russia with livestock all the time. They say it's the most boring drive. I assume it won't be too difficult to map when it comes. As far as I know, from the border to Moscow is also the same, green flat area with some forests in between.

dahaka, maybe that could make that the idea I have for the physical size, won't be too large for what I envision for a Road to Moscow DLC.
Belarus + part of russia, with Moscow as the eastmost point.
M-11 / E105 as the northeast/easternmost route, between Sankt Petersburg and Moscow. With maybe Veliky Novgorod as the northernmost city?
From Belarus to Brjansk A-240 and then E101 to Moscow as the south/southeasternmost route.
Western and northwest DLC border would be Baltic and Going East DLC areas.

Areawise it would be bigger! than Black Sea DLC, but smaller than Iberia.
Something like this? + Belarus ofcource.
+ connection roads to Sankt Petersburg etc.

Ohhh, now I understand what those dlc_guard road settings do in the map editor.
