I can not understand SCS. For such a rarely used and basically unimportant function, an option is built in.

For important settings, such as the LOD distance you have to tinker in the Game Config File, there is no convenient and quickly accessible option in the menu.

The reduced LOD distance introduced with the 1.29 is awful, you see how the vehicle changes several times and the details are added. My video card is already bored.

I agree, seeing wheels skirt across the road stuck in same position and suddenly pop in normally is quite the eyesore.
Same with the rest of the vehicle, really ..

Oh well, nothing we can do about it, not our game. We'll just have to suck it up! :p

The wheels of the LOD models don't move, they're fixed into place, so when you approach a crossing for example you see car LODs with fixed wheel sliding over the road. It's only until you're really close that the full detail model pops in with normal functioning wheels. It's not that pleasing to look at, but hey, SCS optimizing ftw!

@jaws: what you were supposing to see is more visible in daytime and sunny weather, we can't see anything in your raining evening time video
what are you supposing to see is that at certain distance Ai vehicles' wheels don't turn while vehicles are moving, for me it happens only in mirrors (probably because I have set medium for mirrors in graphics settings. probably the problem, if there is any, it can probably be solved by simply increasing g_lod_factor_traffic. default value is 1, I have set 10 and don't seem to have any performance drop.

I have quit SCS forum...

No MG DLC is not compatible with new Scania.
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.
