Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
Ssao causing shuttering on both games. So I turn it off and use nivida overlay instead and hopefully no more problems and I get 40fps more now on both games.

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
Do these 2 console commands still work -mm_max_resource_size and -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size ? Cause when i type them in the console command ingame they dont show up.
Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
They aren't console commands, they are launch commands.
As such they need to be entered into steam or as part of your game shortcut file.

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
I'm got 16GB RAM and use the following. Make adjustments to the parameters as needed:
Code: Select all
-mm_max_resource_size 100 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000 -mm_pool_size 8192
Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
Max resource is set to a value larger than the largest mod file needed to loaded (40 works for most mods, but sometimes needs to be higher)
temp buffers size is a complicated calculation around memory usage (I use 500)
mm pool size is a number = to half your RAM

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
I am having huge issues with my fps and overall smoothness. And still nothing seems to fix it.
My GPU is being utilized about 60-75%, which is quite low. I assume it should constantly be 100%
My CPU is being utilized about 1% in the menu and 4-7% while driving.
My FPS is about 40-50 while driving at night, and 60-70 while driving at day.
I am also having lag spikes and huge frame drops every second, which is the most annoying issue.
PC Specs: 3440x1440p 100hz monitor.
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x.
GPU: MSI 2080.
RAM: 32gb ram at 3600mhz.
MB: MSI Tomahawk x570s max wifi.
PSU: Corsair rm750x
Got the latest drivers, freshly build pc aswell, but I had the same issues with my previous pc, that had a i7 7700k at 5.1Ghz.
I suppose, looking at the GPU utilization, I could be getting at least 70 to 90 fps while driving at night without stutters of any kind. I don't even run the game at the highest possible settings because the FPS will decrease even more.
Hope someone can help because this is killing my experiences in ATS and ETS2.

Re: Hi-End Configuration Optimization
Hi guys, I use mm_pool_size 4096 -mm_max_resource_size 32 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000 as a launch command on STEAM. I fully understand pool size and mm max resource commands, but what about mm max tmp buffers size? What is the real benefit having such high (1000) value?
Worth mentioning, that I have 8 GB RAM, and running almost 70 mods at once, but none of them has more than 30 mb single file size in it. I also have uset r buffer page size 20 in config file (I don't have any AI traffic or density packs, only default AI cars).
My game.log always say, that I have 31 allocated temporary buffers, but I truly don't know is it good or not...
