Yes, it was copied from UK truck simulator, along with some changes and additions here and there like the Dover ferry (which was actually present int ETS1 though) and the rural road north of Cardiff for example.

Netherlands has the biggest port in Europe (Port of Rotterdam) also know as europort (in Dutch: europoort)

Good map. From that map it looks like the next reworked area may depend on how far off a potential Ireland and Northern Scotland DLC is. If that's going to be on the calender for 2022 they might be working to have Southern England as the 2021 rework and the rest of the UK for 2022 to coincide with the Ireland launch. If the Balkans (or some other place) are up first after Russia they could be working on an Austria (and maybe even Switzerland?) rework instead, with plans to do the UK in two stages after that. That would put (the old bits of) Czechia and possibly Poland on the calendar for no earlier than 2024. (Which I assume would be the next in line not just because of SCS's roots but also because in the current and future full map they take up quite a central position.) The Benelux's turn would then come in 2025 or later. By that time the temptation to redo the Going East DLC (included in the Gold Edition, so probably the most owned DLC out there) would be pretty great, and that would take at least another 2 years, assuming the pace stays roughly the same. This would make the Scandinavia DLC at least 12 years old by the time they can even start thinking about whether it looks dated yet, a tad older than the oldest bits are now, assuming that those parts didn't skip ahead in the line because of the arrival of a new more Northern Scandinavian DLC. Assuming this game stays an active property we're also looking at a kind of completion of the map of Europe by 2028 or so, another 7 DLC's (Ireland+, Belarus, Ukraine, Balkans and Greece in two chunks, Northern Scandinavia and maybe Turkey or more Russia). The world can still expand after that (Iceland, Svalbard, Morocco, more Russia, Caucasus, even more Russia, more Scandinavia, even extra more Russia) but in terms of games that are not World of Warcraft this is still such an eternity away that it's honestly kind of silly if I try to draw this prediction out any further into the future.

This game is kind of a huge project, now that I think about it. I'm also a bit disappointed in my own prediction that I can't hope for a DAF plant in Eindhoven (Netherlands) for at least another 4 years.

In Poland still missing important elements, example factory Newag in city Nowy Sącz, factory specialising in the production, maintenance, and modernisation of railway rolling stock. Newag Vulcano - diesel multiple unit railcar is use on Ferrovia Circumetnea in Sicily:

It may take too much long for the the Poland reskin, as well as the Going East DLC, as suggested that all companies present in the base and the Going East will be levelled up.

On the other hand, I bet for the Alps reskin (a.k.a. Switzerland and Austria) with tricky zigzag roads, and with the addition of Lichtenstein's capital, Vaduz. The reskin will serve as the gateway for the Western Balkans DLC in the future. (TBH, Western Balkans might definitely be next after Heart of Russia to be released the latter part of 2022. We'll keep our fingers crossed.)

YEAAAAAHHHHH it´s Austria!!!!! :) :)

I'm very happy that my homeland is getting a rework now, it's just a shame that it will still never come close to the quality of the current DLCs (like the Germany rework, much better now, but far from current DLCs)

I knew it! Stage 1 of the Alps reskin is real!
And confirmed! There's a roundabout on the third photo.

Well let's hope that this rework won't disappoint. Looking at the photos, the detailing of the river/lake and the surroundings of the 5th and 6th image is magnificent, hopefully some more cities and passing towns will be added too, I did see the Austrian city of Bregenz on a signpost in Southern Germany after 1.40 released so could that mean we will have a few cities added...?

As Germany was done in 3 stages, I'm guessing we can call this the Alpine region rework where Austria is stage 1 and Switzerland would be stage 2 of the reworks for the entire region.

And finally as we have a hint of the next rework which everyone can guess it's Austria, maybe for a majority of players our dreams of a Western Balkan DLC could be true and coming after Heart of Russia. 8-) Lets not get too excited here:)
