Who would walk for an entire trip?? xD
I wouldn't mind being blocked in some way. It would be to do things on our truck, no more no less. It's always about the trucks, or trailers. Otherwise, there are mods.

Walk camera in game play would only really be worth it if they added little QT events or something similar for checking the vehicle out, getting gas etc. It's really not needed as a feature for anything else.

Garage is useful for skinners and modders to have real close ups of the truck for making sure things line up.

Not to mention a lot of the map isn't something you'd want to get a close up look at, the prefabs aren't high detailed. Just a quick dev cam out of the truck shows this, I wouldn't want to see most of it up close.

I think SCS may be planning to introduce the ability to walk outside the truck in selected areas such as gas stations and rest areas at some point. Otherwise I don't really understand why would they bother implementing the walk around feature just for garages alone. I mean, you can even crouch and climb small objects (all that's missing is jumping and switching weapons ) - why go to such lengths when simply letting you fly around the garage with a freecam would have been easier?

Instead of a weapon wheel we need keyfob wheel.

Lock/unlock truck
Remote windows up/down
Engine on/off
Personal Alarm

What else to truck keyfobs have? :P

Maybe walking in service stations, rest areas, and companies will be feasible after the graphics improvement on 1.38, because the textures we have today at the service stations, for example, have a low resolution for that. Maybe even better 3D models would be necessary.
I would really enjoy a feature like having to leave the truck and get next to the pump to put fill the tanks. Or leaving the truck to open the trailer's doors before reversing to the dock...

Walking is not necessary. It is not a walking-about simulator.

Or connecting the cables of the truck to the trailer, or raising legs, or anything else a trucker must do outside of driving from A to B.

Really? There are people who wants to connect cables, check tires, lamps and so on? I prefere just driving... If I'm not forced to that, and people wants this... then ok...
