Most journeys I try and take over 200 miles end with an impassable incident (air ambulance) blocking the road, not enough time to reroute and having to abandon the job. The only times I can recall actually making it were-

-Duisberg - Szczecin (525 miles)
-Lodz - Frankfurt (535 miles)
-Malmo - Edinburgh (can't remember exactly how far)
-somewhere in Finland - northern Poland, might have been Lodz (about 800 miles)- transporting a helicopter, so that one paid nicely but I must have halved the profit with speeding fines!
-Aberdeen - near Stockholm (mostly on ferries but 1288 miles total)

It was at the default setting, as was random road events. I've turned them both down, hopefully that will help.

Update: my longest (and definitely among the most difficult) journey, I just completed it, was taking a curtainsider full of roof tiles from Trelleborg to Istanbul. Here are the numbers-

-1679 miles
-£75,000 reward
-5% tyre wear by journey's end
-3 minor accidents caused by idiot AIs (only amounted to about 2% damage all-round though)
-3 rest stops
-3 refuels (though I never actually let it reach empty, only down to about 30%)
-2 hours on a ferry from Denmark to Germany
-1 weight inspection nearly missed because I wasn't familiar with that particular crossing into Romania
-Miraculously, 0 diversions or closed roads!

I wanted to finish Turkish Delight with a bang, but sadly couldn't get a job to Aberdeen (which is the longest possible since Road to the Black Sea came out) so had to settle for dragging Prosciutto (of all things) from Log n Stick in Istanbul to Sellplan in Newcastle, a total of 3341 kilometres to earn €187,876
