I find it funny that some people are saying bad things about FMOD, but they don't know how much capacity it will bring in the long run. FMOD is a sound engine used by most current games, a lot of games that you can imagine, are using FMOD. If you look on the official website, you'll see how many developers including renowned developers use FMOD in their games. 1.37 was the first phase of the FMOD, it is not over yet and we will have a lot of things with the next updates.

You were going like hell. I always slow down when approaching a railroad crossing, like in real life..
Imagine how slowly I would have to have been driving to stop in time. So do you approach every railway crossing at 20 kph? I suppose If I had one second or so to respond in real-life, I would also approach them very cautiously.

The default speed limit for railroad crossing is 30 kph/ 18 mph for most European countries, except another speed limit is indicated by a traffic sign and usually is under 30kph.
Anyway if you like to cross at the speed of sound is your suspension, tyres and your spine that will have a problem.

Ps. In Greece at least traffic rules state that you must cross with caution and slow enough and check both ways, even if the bars are up and you have a green light.

There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

OK, my mistake. Apparently one second is plenty of warning for a railway crossing. thanks.

if you ignore these signs and just drive like the devil, i just say it was warranted what happened, these signs warn you that there is a crossing coming ( 1 stripe 80m) according to, most likely, every traffic law in every country you have to reduce speed and approach cautiously even if there is no train coming, if you would have followed it you would have plenty of time to stop before the barrier was down

and i also bet there was a third one we didnt saw in the video marking the 240m point

edit: corrected distances for the stripe sign

Thank you, Carl. If you slow down each and every time you see the posts such that one second is sufficient warning, then you are a very admirably cautious driver and are to be commended. In my experience in the US, a driver normally get about 30 seconds of warning but I have now learned that in the EU, 1 second or two seconds is sufficient for a good driver.

well, there you have your answer, it was your own fault for not following signage, it also happened more then once to me but i still look out what the road tells me and nod blindly drive like a rocket, this is not different in the US, you got plenty of warning that a crossing is coming, if you just ignore it prepare for a flight to heaven ingame (or to hell if you somehow get the truck to clip though the map :joy:)

Thing is not about warning, its the fact that the barrier goes down as soon as the light starts flashing which is unrealistic. It happens to me a lot, but i slow down to like 30,
and like 5 meters infront of the crossing it starts flashing and you get the invisible wall of doom
