Poll: Which type of trailer should SCS include for Trailer Ownership next?

#1 Post by dahaka » 12 Dec 2019 19:11

Lets see what the community thinks about which trailers should be made own-able next.

I saw the similar thread in the ATS discussions, and as far as i know there isnt one yet for ETS2 so i though i'd create one.
Be sure to vote and further express your opinions in writing.

My vote personally is on special transport and lowbeds, I even made a separate thread some time ago with suggestions of how they could be implemented

For my second choice i'd say tankers.

EDIT: Lowboys and special transport trailers are coming to ETS2 in update 1.39!

Thank you for voicing your opinions and voting! The poll is now reset so we can vote on what should come next!

I like tankers, but tankers need a way more freight types (especially the food and the acid tanker) and they also need double trailer options. So I would rather like lowboys, because there are many freight types and also because Schwarzmüller has a special lowboy. And I don't think there is a double trailer option for lowboys, so they are ready for a ownership imho.

to begin with SCS should start by adding some god damn proper goods to the Walkingfloor trailer, its a joke it only is able to haul general good and not what it was made for, grain, corn, beets, potatoes, biomass, woodchip.. continue the list. its beyond me because they have done it ATS with no problem but in ETS they dont want too apparantly... the trailer is useless until they get proper goods made for it.

My heart goes to lowbed trailers due to cargo variety but i think those will be added last for the same reason.

Thats kind of what i worry about, and one of the reasons i've decided to create this discussion, SCS has always listened to their players/customers, and as witnessed both in this discussion, and the one on the ATS section, the two most anticipated trailer types for ownership are lowbeds and tankers.
So hopefully SCS notices and gives these types a well deserved priority.

All I want is an updated cargo system and how depots handle trailers , like who takes an empty container chassis to a depot gate to load a 40ft container? And the most annoying one is delivering heavy weight cargoes , Crane , locomotive etc to a depot gate , Or picking them up ! Same goes for log trailers and so on , I really expected RTTBS dlc to have more realistic cargo system but it's just like other locations.

Before they add any type of trailers, they just need to fix these things first ,

Why would you expect a map DLC to change how cargo works?

And they'll add many more trailers before they overhaul the cargo system.

@Madkine , First of all an easy fix for cargoes is just to edit the companies in/out cargoes in def files , unfortunately this can't be done just by a mod bcz you need to delete stuff and we can't delete what's already baked in the game's base files. That's why I expected the map dlc to change it .

Second , adding new trailers without overhauling cargo system will just (in my opinion) kill the hype for those new trailers.
