Yeah, I should have made it clearer, I was speaking about "Northern Scandinavia/Finland/Russia" not as a DLC but as a georgarphic area in general. I think if it were to be included in the game, I think it would be best if it were divided into 2 or even 3 DLCs.

IvanKuz, you were clear to me :) I just worded it a bit differently.
If having the road to Murmansk as a sort of divider, then I think a 2 parter for that area of Fennoscandia.

Regarding Iberia vs Road to Moscow? or rather Spain vs.
True Size of, comparison.
Brjansk - Kaluga, as the south border for the DLC in Russia.
Area would? be a bit smaller than Spain.

It's easy to speculate, but SCS won't announce or say anything before they know they can handle it, and that's probably the smartest thing to do. You know the saying: "anything you say could be used against you in trial".

As for Iberia DLC, I really hope they add cultural diffencies in addition to traffic and landscapes singularities. That's not easy though, there's a bit of regional diversity only in Spain. I hope they respect regional differences and indentities, keeping it as apolitical as possible.

@Shiva The game takes place on a flat map projection which gets more distorted the further away you go from Central Europe, so true sizes don't necessarily tell an accurate picture.
And of course the size of a "Road to Moscow" DLC would depend on how far west east would it go. I mean, I'm only calling it "Road to Moscow" because that's the name other users have been using, but I'd love to see it go beyond Moscow. Have it include Ryazan, Vladimir, maybe even Yaroslavl? Nizhny Novgorod would probably be stretching it too far though. That's the problem with Russia, even just the European part, it is so huge that it becomes incredibly hard to speculate what DLCs could cover it and how many.

IvanKuz, I might maybe? have been one of the first to use "Road to Moscow".
I think that Russia has space for more than a few map DLC's. Atleast I would be interested in getting those.
And yes, that truesize vs SCS map projection might very well be a bit different.
Iberia and Russia got a bit different map projection in april? this year. I can't remember if I took the dds from beta or not. Or was it even maybe for when Black Sea DLC was released?

Sure, they could be making Russia DLCs as far as Vladivostok and I'd still be interested in all of them, but would the playerbase in general be willing to keep up? I suspect that further expansions to the east would get increasingly harder to market, as there will be a lot less visual variety there. So maybe we'll get to Kazan and beyond some day, but maybe we'll just stop at Moscow instead.

Yeah, the were some changes to the map projection, but I don't think they were very significant.

IvanKuz
Map changes? not that much, maybe 45-50km at the most. That for southern Portugal.
Similar for Novorossijsk.
Mersin, Turkey, there it is about 80km difference.
Some changes might transfer cities to the sea tho.

Eric07, someday for sure! But when? time will tell.
