those arent rocks, a normal tree that got its branches tied together by net, like they do with Christmas trees if you buy them, here in Germany at least, so that they dont flow over the trailer and hit other objects on the way
Now I get it. Thanks Carl!

Trees in #12 as well.

There's a bit of controversy when transplanting olive trees because most of them die in the transport, I already talked about the movie El Olivo in the Spanish Pre-Research tips thread, if anyone hasn't seen it, it's about olive trees... and trucking!

PRECIOS CONTADO.
People living in Spain, listen up. Have you ever heard this expression? Maybe it's right but I've always heard "AL CONTADO" when you do not finance your payment, anyway I've never found it on petrol stations. Maybe I've not travelled enough though.

No, the "precios contado" doesn't have really sense in Spanish, neither "precio al contado" (because legally prices can't be changed depending on the payment method, so prices are just prices).

The sentence should be "pagos al contado" or just "al contado" to indicate you can pay in cash, together with the icons of the other payment systems allowed.

Of course, but when you finance you'll end up paying around 5% or more depending on the conditions. PRECIO AL CONTADO is something regular people don't use unless they are thinking about avoiding financing. A quick look on the Internet reveals that this term exists.

Also, PAGO AL CONTADO can be with card as well, even with a check. When you use cash it's called "en efectivo" or "contra reembolso" when it's a shipment.

EDIT
===================
On second thought, maybe they tried to describe the fact that it's a final price as it happens in the US? In Spain we have a pretty standarised tax system unlike in the USA, we show final prices on tags and they don't depend on local or intermediate taxes (maybe I'm wrong). Anyway, PRECIOS CONTADO is something you hardly ever see (I guess).

Yes, the "precio al contado" has sense regarding purchases that you finance; and even so, every year it passes it's difficult to find that difference because companies WANT you to finance (so the cash price use to be the same to encourage the finance method).

Anyway, there's nothing to finance on a gas station so what I said is true regarding those boards on the gas stations. You are right in the point they could had used the still more specific "en efectivo". If what they pretend is what you say compared with USA, then it has no sense. By law, all prices advertised to customers MUST be final prices and include all the applied taxes. Companies can show two prices (base and final) if they want, but if only one is shown it has to include everything (its a common cause for which companies get finned by commerce inspectors; and a illegal practice very usual on bars and restaurants).

That regarding Spain of course. I can't say nothing about what's usual and how to spell it in Portuguese.
