Iberia Discussion
Re: Iberia Discussion
I completed my Cruising Iberia achievement yesterday. I got the 20/20 requirement despite only visiting 24 cities so far. I followed my plan of completely circling the map and doing deliveries all along the coast starting in the northeast in Bilbao and going counter-clockwise around Iberia. I completed my final delivery in Seville, and have barely touched the entire middle part of the map, so there's still a lot I haven't seen.
I'm loving what I see in this expansion, though now that I'm done with the achievement I'll start exploring a bit more. I'm hoping I find some nice two-lane roads since I've mostly driven on the freeways so far.

Re: Iberia Discussion
The minimum required speed in any Spanish road is half the top speed permitted. 60 in motorway (120/2), 40 when it's 80 and so on...
Re: Iberia Discussion
Regarding the aforementioned event in the first post on this page, I completed the first delivery, and it says 2/20. It should say 1/20.
Is there some kind of fault with Australian internet that is causing the duplication of every value interpreted? I was so tempted to duplicate both lines in this post!

Re: Iberia Discussion
If your delivery is between two Iberian cities, then both will counted since you have to discover them by doing a WOTr job to or from those cities.
Suggestion: Add TIR, ADR plates, stickers...
Suggestion: LEDs bars, grill pods...
Suggestion: Improved paint job system
Suggestion: How to make narrow roads a viable option

@Voytek
Good afternoon watching the dialogue here on the forum. I would also like to sum up the opinion that there should be no Spanish Community signs or what we could call the '' Spanish states '', for a better understanding of people in various places in the world ( who happen to be able to read).
It is always cool to have this perception of crossing from one state to the other as it happens in the United States in the American Truck Simulator. This is also a very cool reality, for example in some regions of Sweden, where you already have those signs on Euro Truck 2, it’s really cool, there is a feeling that you are driving there, really.

That's true, there's always a big sign with the regional government flag when you cross from a Spanish region to another.plinio.lisboa.br wrote: ↑12 Apr 2021 16:15 @Voytek

Re: Iberia Discussion
It's not easy to read everything here, as when I take a look after work, there are so many new posts which I'd like to reply to. A bit overwhelming, but I'm happy this community is still alive and strong after so many years
Unfortunately, I can't answer that. I had no idea there are so many of them in Spain! I knew at least one exists, maybe two.
Was it missed by our research team? Doubt it. Are many of them near highways we represented in game? If yes, maybe they were somehow missed by our mappers, but that would be weird if they all were blind when it comes to seeing huge bull statues... As I focused mostly on interchanges and looked at signs, I admit I didn't see a single one on SV.
Trust me, I'm not a fan of this solution and I've been trying to convince others to remove that tape, at least from Iberia for a start. But that would be inconsistent with other DLCs. We're working on a better solution, but even if ATS players are used to no tape, some form of "help" will still be present in ETS2. I can't tell more now, but I brought this topic for discussion
@plinio.lisboa.br @Lindemann
I researched this a bit on Saturday and it's a topic for discussion too. I hope this "detail" can be added, but can't promise anything.
Thank you for all the comments, good and bad, which help us improve. I can't answer everybody, but I (and some of my colleagues) read all posts

Re: Iberia Discussion
There are historical regions in Spain with great pride on their traditions and culture, if you add a senyera or an ikurriña in certain significative places (like an administrative building) I'm sure plenty of people will be pleased. The only thing is to avoid using independist flags to prevent controversy, those flags are versions of the regional ones but with small differences.
As for the bulls, I'm sure a couple of fellow forumers posted their locations in the Spanish pre-research topic. As well as other big boards (like the giant donkey in A-4 near Córdoba).
Anyways, great job with the boards @Vøytek , I admit I didn't expect much from them after we were introduced the first one last summer (A-7 near Valencia) but we gotta admit that you raised your game enormously with what you have managed to produce. Kudos!
