Re: Iberia Discussion
I used the ferry from Barcelona to Sardinia the other day while on a World of Trucks contract, and it only logged the distance driven for me.

Thanks, as I assumed, stats are not killed

Re: Iberia Discussion
WOT does not always only count the kilometers driven, only if you follow the suggested route!
but if you now accept an order from Bilbao to Kaunas, for example, the overland route across Europe is suggested, around 2700-2900km, if you drive the distance!
but if you take the ferry to England, from there to Denmark, then drive to Travemünde and there you can take again the ferry.
When you now drive to Kaunas you have only driven around 1500km,but you get on WOT the 2700-2900km from the suggested route that's the fault in the WOT System, it doesn't count allways only the driven km
And I think that's the reason why he said ferry can kill the stats

Re: Iberia Discussion
I just completed my first job from the Colico company in Murcia, it was a cargo of lemonade.
There's a citrus factory near that places IRL, but the one that fits better that location is the local brewery, Estrella de Levante. So that lemonade was beer (?) made with Segura river water... Murcian people use to drink it... Sometimes I'm lucky to be a foraigner in that city and not follow local traditions
Cólico = colic, cramp... not the most appropriate name for a drinking company

Re: Iberia Discussion
And you drive the same time if you take ferries or not; minus a few seconds of choosing the ferry route and the loading time of the map change.
I would understand you if to take a ferry would force us a long wait until being able to drive again; but the only long stop of driving we have in the game is for refueling (and it's also very accelerated regarding real life).
Take a ferry or not is only going to change the amount of time you dedicate to a single cargo job; not the time you are going to spend driving into the game.

About ''zero variation in real life'' I'm not sure about that. I'm spanish and everyday I see different asphalts, some are new (black-ish) others are grey with broken parts, half new half old, red-ish roads...Vøytek wrote: ↑19 Apr 2021 10:49 About asphalt textures - it was discussed in the team and we realized there's literally zero variation in real life. You can check Street View in various regions in Spain and see basically the same asphalt everywhere. Some mappers changed asphalt where necessary, but those are very rare situations.
Here are some examples:
