Autovio, good finds! And welcome to the forums.
The reason for 2 lanes by SCS, is that that sections is rather short and that the 2 to 3 and 3 to 2 lane switches sadly take too much space ingame. My understanding.

@ SCS

If you are discussing about windturbines you also should consider the red blinking lights at night.

It is fascinating to see 50 or 60 red lights of these big windturbines blink at the same time.

I mean literally at the same time on and off over a radius of may be 5km.

I dont know if this is also in the US.

The red beacon lights warn air vehicles like low flying aircrafts or helicopters to avoid collisions.
Although in the latest avionic systems windturbines are saved in the obstacle databases of terrain awareness systems.

I red that in germany many people complain about these red lights which are visible at night.
Many feel very disturbed by these lights who live near these windturbines.
Therefore it is planned to install transponder on more than 600 windturbines which only activate the red beacon lights if an air vehicle is close enough to the windturbines.

I red that in the state (Bundesland) of Nordrheinwestfalen (biggest state of 16 states in germany) at least 600 windturbines will get this feature first.

No informations about other states in germany.

May be it is also important for future updates of the german map in ETS2.

Here is an interesting article in german. You need to translate.

please portuguese players, don’t start crying and say that scs don’t post pictures of portugal ...
I am from Viseu and when I saw this screenshot I immediately remembered this location on the IP3 motorway, remembering that the scale of the game is limited, and so the representation of real life in many locations is not even half-trustworthy
of course it is not at all reliable I am just speculating. because this highway doesn't even have 3 lanes in real life as you can see in the screenshot ...
IP3 with 3-lanes uphill? I don't think so.
Its representation in-game may or may not be accurate. But still, my bet goes to A1 highway.

This is so awesome I cannot wait. I am loving Italy and cannot wait to expand into Iberia. My dad is from Azores and it would be such an amazing easter egg to have a 1km Island of Sao Miguel to take pictures and have a vacation. Archipelagos and islands are really cool and unique.

Thank you SCS for all the work you guys do. ATS & ETS2 are outstanding and so is the #bestcommuntiy. The effort and passion put into the game and every aspect of media etc is so beautiful and strong. The game is awesome for more serious players while still being able to be casual. The audio and realism in countries depicted is so beautiful. I truly appreciate SCS changing the traffic lights, reworking old areas of the map, the amazing audio, and brand names, etc.

I finally have bought myself a proper PC and driving setup and it is a dream come true. I have been playing SCS games since a kid, ATS & ETS2 are a dream come true and they have come so far. I am so glad I can be jumping headfirst back into this genre and gaming at this time. Please point my in a good direction for the forums and World of Trucks, if you like check me out on World of Trucks and I will do the same! just comment or message me on here, or steam, they are all nukeman.

I really hate those underground containers. I think they are the worse combination possible of uselessness, stupidity and money waste. Those setups doesn't free space in the surface, require expensive construction works and maintenance (added to the classic container, that still is beneath) and slows a lot the work of the teams collecting the trash (so, more noise pollution and more time the streets blocked due more trucks having to stay more time stopped at a place). They are the pure definition of the defeat of the common sense in a urban society. The only vantage of those setups is that thewy "look nice" (and that somebody wins a big chunk of public money with them).

Sorry for the off-topic rant. But I really hate them and all they represent.

?

they can take more garbage then a normal container so it is LESS trucks driving around taking up the trash because the time between empty to empty is bigger, here in my town some of the garbage cans (like in the picture but without the bottom part) are always full and start to spill over, so the town has to empty them every day in the morning, if there would be a container underneath that can handle 10x the volume they would only need to come once a week, this is the whole concept behind them, increasing the volume without taking space and making it look like, warning pun, garbage

@xXCARL1992Xx

exactly that is the point
they are much more useful than the old ugly old containers, reduces the size on the surface, and leaves it much more clean and modern. we have to evolve! but this is the big problem of Portuguese society, they are always 20 years behind the most modern countries LUL
watch the video, and evolve please

I do not see what is the big difference in garbage collection, and what is the big problem that 1 minute or 2 more will have for traffic
