I wonder if there are people who vote 1:20 because they think it's actually bigger than 1:15. I've actually seen YouTubers make videos about this.

I think the majority of players (at least forum ones) are aware that the UK is bigger than the rest of the map. If Carl is correct and Pavel said the UK will be done in one go, that pretty much confirms that the UK will be re-scaled to match the rest of the map IMO.

I don’t think they can transform it in a DLC because right now it is part of the base game. So most likely it will be as it was with Germany - free update.

I think adding northern Scotland would be a good idea as Scotland looks very empty right now. I have been to the highlands and I think it would be a great place to drive through.

They could, just like Promods overwrites SCS content, SCS DLC can override base game content. However that would be a lot of manpower because when ever there is a change, they will need to change both base and DLC versions of the map. It just wouldn't be a feasible option.

That said all refreshes will come for free.

That is exactly what I meant. They cannot keep 2 versions one free one paid. And they cannot remove the old free version and make it new paid version because that means they need to force players buy the dlc to get back that area.

Wait, did I miss some information? Did SCS confirm they are going to rework the UK? and that the rework comes after Germany?
Last I remember SCS stated they'll finish the Germany rework and then evaluate if doing reworks is even profitable or something along those lines.

It depends who you ask.

Some devs have said that Germany was a test and they will evaluate other reworks based on the success of Germany.

Pavel has always said the whole map will be reworked over time and that DLC like Go East will be considered when the base map areas are done. It was also said from day one that they would do the map refreshes in order of age. Germany is the oldest from GTS, UK - UKTS, and so on.
