FMOD Discussion [ETS2]

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: FMOD Discussion [ETS2]
I've gone through about 20 pages to no avail so apologies for clogging up the forum. I've made a voice navigation mod, using the linked russian voicemod earlier in this thread was extremely helpful, and the mod finally works!... for a few moments, the navigation works for the first few commands, however after that it stops working. Any ideas why? Many thanks.
Re: FMOD Discussion [ETS2]
Can someone hint me up as to how change the collision sound in FMOD studio? my efforts so far
Re: FMOD Discussion [ETS2]
@Dood I think you need to find collision sound bank and find event in guid file
I make mods
yeah that's pretty much it

Re: FMOD Discussion [ETS2]
@Slavthailand I don't really know where to put it in in the mixer routing https://i.vgy.me/7ehrBI.png
Re: FMOD Discussion [ETS2]
@Dood The sounds would go in sound/collisions/collisions.bank - for something like this, I would suggest using the Bank Tools method explained in post 1 and just replace the samples with your own

Re: FMOD Discussion [ETS2]
@Robinicus yea, I just discovered this and it worked, thanks.
Anyway, I had this structure, with GUIDs https://i.vgy.me/VmStrg.png And the game did load it, but it didn't work and had million errors.

Re: FMOD Discussion [ETS2]
@Robinicus can you post a thread about how to use the FSB Extractor (Fmod Bank Tools) please?
Re: FMOD Discussion [ETS2]
@codyosborn2 - I added this to post 1 but here it is as well for you
Using FSB Extractor
I have had to walk several people through this so here is a quick tutorial on using the tool.
This is best used in scenarios where you only want to replace one sound file such as a suspension noise being used.
Here is what the install folder structure will look like after you install the tool:
[ external image ]
Here is what the main interface of the tool looks like; it is important to always check the file paths for both your wavs and banks so you can find your work.
[ external image ]
Instructions:
1. Paste the root bank file you want to work with into the bank folder
2. Hit the "Extract" button
3. Go to your wav folder and replace the sound file you want to use with your own. **IMPORTANT - the file must be named exactly the same as the original and must be the same format (wav, ogg etc) - if you make an error here it will not work
4. Hit the "Rebuild" button
5. Go back into the bank folder and the completed bank with your sound in it will be ready to go
