Next ETS2 truck speculation
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
@plykkegaard I agree with you. If a new truck/generation is spotted on a public road that means that the manufacturer is well aware that pictures/videos of that truck will make it to the public view. Otherwise why allow that to happen if you want full discretion?

If it is the FH facelift... I seriously hope that we get a new model with qualities identical do the Scania NG's, because the FH we have in game is on par with the old R series Scania... Inaccurate proportions, obsolete 3D model and low poly interior. Throwing in some new parts to the one we have and call it a new truck will be a crime.
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Hopefully when Volvo Trucks seeing the collaboration of Renault Trucks and SCS, they will allow to implement the new FH in game.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Volvo doesn't need to "see" the collaboration SCS has done with Renault Trucks to decide on their own.
Renault Trucks is owned by Volvo and their president (that was in the release stream) is also vice-president in Volvo.
So they know pretty well what SCS has done with Renault Trucks, Volvo is the one who ultimately has approved it.
That doesn't mean Volvo decides that for their own brand that kind of events would be interesting (even being owned from the same parent company, each brand always search to position themselves in the marked from different ways). But of course, it gives a good precedent.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
again with the FH16, this truck is not its own truck, it is the FH5 with a 16l engine, we already have the FH4 ingame with the FH16 package

I am happy for every truck they add but I would most welcome it if they added a Ford F-MAX (I voted for it) Ford F-MAX clearly must not be missing in ETS2
