Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Because I really want an Iveco update and a new S-way in game. They have been left to rot for so long its about time they got a boost.
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Yeah there are atleast five trucks that can be added to the game, but it ultimately boils down to licensing negotiations and stuff. Also, if there’s an offer to make a launch along with its real time debut, every game dev would prioritize that. That wouldn’t affect the workflow of other trucks a lot, different teams work on different trucks.
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
I personally wish we'll get the S way first, I took one for a test drive last week, spent 28 hours with it,and I really like it.

Y'all half Iveco fans will drive it once if it makes it and ditch it after, same with the Range T. Heheh. Worst exterior of modern truck designs. Maybe its really good talking performance and all, but looks? I'd take chopped socks for dinner instead.

Nah mate, I use the Hi-Way as my main truck. The Stralis is one of my favourites because it has a great driving position, a good selection of engines, and a large digital panel, even if its interior is shockingly outdated.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
the S-Way isnt better, they took the interior almost 1:1 over, changes are there but it isnt a right out new development like in the 2020 MAN TGX

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
I meant the in game models, not the actual RL trucks carl. The S-Way interior is indeed an almost direct copy of the Hi-way and shares identical switch gear & instrument panels in RL. In the game though that interior is pretty bad and could really do with a model and texture update to improve the quality. Not only that but the seating position and camera placement for the Hi-Way is completely bonkers and doesn't have the range of movement to allow proper adjustments. Its one the very first things I modded to resolve

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
the Hi-Way interior isnt so bad, it just needs proper textures to reflect the real cab and not those generic textures used from ETS1

To each his own. Not a fan of S-Way, but it looks better than shoebox Scania NG. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have approximate knowledge of many things
