You can get it on Renaults, as a custom order too, we delivered 3 Range T units (to the same customer)when I was working at Renault!

Exactly, since all JDM trucks have bottom kerb side window on the left side, as mandated by Japan's Ministry of Land Transportation that all medium and heavy duty trucks have these to ensure safety for the benefit of the drivers, as well as other motorists and pedestrians to reduce accidents involving trucks. Scanias, Volvos and other EU-made trucks in Japan don't have these bottom kerb side windows.

Can you cover that window up though? I mean imagine parking up at a truckstop for the day, you pull your curtains to have your privacy and start doing what any lonely man does, and suddenly you see some colleague peaking in at you through the bottom window.....

I suppose some kind of small curtain can be put on the lower side of the door... or that the curtain of that side will be longer than usual to reach that part of the door too.

I don't think DAF has missed that detail.

Scania now offers trucks with 270mm longer cabs for R & S series(for normal and highline roof), I wish SCS would revisit them and give us the new cabs!

Here's the press release from today!

volvo also has thier XXL globetrotter cab.. so if they want to implement them into the game/sim.. they have some work to do.. so i dont expect it before 2030 with the big wishlist they already have...

The cab looks the same from outside, just like the Globetrotter XXL cab in Volvo. I doubt if they would add it.

New engines would be cool though.

The difference if behind the air deflectors on the back of the cab. That's the space where the cab is taking to grow, unlike the new DAF that uses the whole new measures allowed by new UE regulations.
