The camera positioning looks weird though, nevertheless a good update.

If implanted, they could just put the cameras like they did with the new DAF where you can choose between conventional mirrors or the camerasSpace_Night wrote: ↑20 Nov 2021 18:01 the "S" Super looks no different than the current one, except it has mirror cam as an option

i think Scania are offering both, however down low below the screen is probably a better place for it

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
SCS didn't add the new Scania engines from last year to ETS2, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for seeing this year's engines in the game either.

Yes, this is not a completely new generation of trucks, created from scratch like DAF, but modernization and improvement of the existing ones.

Thats a odd spot seems like it would get hit easier then having it up higher.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
IMHO I see it more practical in there.
Think for example about what would happen in winter climate when you would go to start the truck. Which mirror cam would be way easier to clean off by hand from snow and ice? Scania one or Mercedes/Daf one?
And about hitting it, in very tight spaces its easier to control distances at that height than up on the corner of the truck.
Regards

The placement of the mirror cam on the Scania's are a bit better since it will be a lot easier to see how far it is from hitting something.
In the matter of looks however, it feels like someone stuck some car mirrors where the regular ones were supposed to be, but it's all about getting used to the new look (The same thing i'm doing to the XG+ mirror cam, that when seeing it from the front, it looks like shrek's ears.).

Actually MAN System is the best implementation yet! And the mirrocam arms don't really extend that far from the cabin, that you would be afraid to hit them!
