Next ETS2 truck speculation
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Hi,
It would be interesting to be able to cross these collaborators either on the road or in the garages in our possession, to see our fleet, the unused trailers in the garages...
Regards

No, that thing is the condenser for the parking air conditioner and it's optional. Have seen several R and S models without it, and in the S models, if you purchase this option you loose the small locker under the big locker on the left of the cab.
The air intake in the Scanias since at least the 3 models, is placed in the RH side of the cab front cover, under the grille, except some models built in Brasil that have a high air intake as optional equipment placed on the upper RH side of the cab.

Yesterday I saw in northern Spain one of those: https://bmctugra.com/tractor-series-4x2-high-roof-std
I really had to search what it was, luckily the BMC logo is big enough to catch it at first glance.
The more curious thing was it was pulling a 2-axle short platform trailer. It's not the kind of trailer one expects to had been hauled so far from Turkey to Spain.

Yes I know, I've seen lots of F-Max by here (when it was launched, for a time I even saw more than S-Ways, go figure)
But those long hauls by here use to be other kind of trailers, the usual 3-axled single-tire rigids or tautliners. That was pulling something of that kind: https://www.semilowbedtrailer.com/photo ... ear_me.jpg
it's not the kind of trailer one use to see on 4.000+ kilometers trips. So the overall set was very curious.

i had a rental scania R450 for a day... ( the truck ran 174 km before i got it) so i took the oppertunity to take a few pictures..
i couldnt find the parts of the puzzle to put the tiltingbar together to tilt the cab forward...
the old streamline cabs had a 1 piece bar behind the grill under the windshieldwipers.. the new one is basicly a puzzle.. i found the 2 parts on the doors on the front.. but i couldnt find the large socket to fit over the bolt in the bumper on the passengerside to tilt the cab forward

Found this earlier, thought it might be good to share it;
Seems like the S-way is going to be a good option for hauliers, particularly with all those extra options available.

SCS mentioned new DAF on twitter. As SCS has good relationship with paccar, can we expect new DAF in game soon?
