Next ETS2 truck speculation
Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Agreed. Still, we still get two trucks rebuilt from scratch which otherwise might happen several years later. But we didn’t even get the Efficientline3 facelift yet, so can’t really rely on the facelift models.
S-Way and F-Max would the best bet IMO. F-Max in particular since it has two 4x2 chassis and only one cab and interior (two if you consider black edition) at most. Easiest truck to pull off.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
The MAN TGX EL2 is A facelift, but we got an entirely new model!
The Only thing I hate about SCS strategy is the shortcuts they take! and the fact that they never ever revisit an old model to fix thing about it or make it consistent with the recent models, like for example NG Scania(s) don't have removable spoilers and rear wheel arches!
I said it before and I'll say it again, I personally would take any reworked old model(Magnum,Premium, DAF 105 and 106,Ivecos,Volvo FH3 & 4..) than any new truck!

I have to agree with that ^
Give me a CAD based Premium and I don't care about any other new truck.
Same goes for all oldies. It hurts me that SCS doesn't understand that consistency and quality is more important than quantity.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
and it only got it because the original TGX is from ETS1, all hope is lost on this model but it would be so easy to make the E6 into a first gen TGX

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
The Original TGX is from GTS, ETS1 got only 4 brands!
Same goes for Iveco stralis and DAF 105(before 50Keda rebuilt it...sort of)!
And about licensing and companies only want their new trucks in the game, say whatever you want,It's SCS's choice to only go for the newer trucks, I bet most companies will license any truck if asked!
How do I know? most if not all Car racing games with licensed vehicles have old models as well as new ones! same goes for Farming simulator having lot's of old tractors as well as classic tractors dlc , the same thing for OMSI bus simulator 1&2....and I can name more games!

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
I wouldn't say no to SCS retrofitting the old MAN parts on to the model and scrapping the old truck.
But like Wolfi said, it is far more important to have quality first.

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
The problem in both ETS2 and ATS is that quality isn't well balanced. We have in new maps and trucks very good quality and old with poor quality.
Without it, the games seem a kind of frankenstein.

I agree! Low cab actros is beatiful, Its the Antos?JolliciousJosh wrote: ↑18 Jun 2021 14:48 IMHO, it might be the Actros 5 (with mirror cams as an option).
The Actros 3 that we have (since the release of the game) are low cabins (Standard Low Roof and High Roof) and the range-topping Megaspace. When Actros 4 landed on update 1.17 (in time for Scandinavia DLC release), high cabins (Streamspace, Bigspace and Megaspace) were only available. Low cabins and the OM470 engine have not in the game yet and I wish they can bring it in as an addon, as seen below.

While the next-to-be added trucks in the game potentially are:
-Volvo FH5 (with the addition of Globetrotter XXL)
-Iveco S-Way
For the MAN TGX, I think, it needs to add bumpers for the 2017 facelift and its new engines before they can bring in the next-gen.
As to Ford F-Max, in my prediction, it is likely to be in the game sooner even:
-The only engine of this truck is rated at 500hp (less capable of heavy cargoes more than 30t)
-Chassis configuration is only available in 4x2, both regular and low decks, and:
-IRL, majority of sales of this truck are coming from Turkey, where the truck is produced, followed by Russia (don't sure yet).
(P.S. it might be a perfect timing to bring in the game in line with the upcoming 'Heart of Russia' DLC.)
Fmax sounds easy to make, and, having similarities with the FH its model can precede the Fh2020
About those 500hp, yes, we are talking about a game but, i dont know, my dads company has 3 270-300hp trucks that normally are hauling 30-40tn in about 400-600km

Re: Next ETS2 truck speculation
Agree, S Way seems the logic option (Iveco is becoming the oldest brand without a new truck)
And yes, some models need to be revisited and i know what im saying, my all time favorite truck is the old Stralis , less maps dlc and more balancing
