My old computer was too slow for 1.32 and I decide to stop at 1.31. Then I buy new computer, maybe not so power, but it work good. Now I must new computer again? Each two years new computer for playing game that looks like "newer ending story"?
- German rebuild phase-4 - looks like will be never finished (IMO Mandelsoft quit SCS, so this project stopped indefinitely)
- DLC France. Orleans is stll not in game from DLC was out

Code: Select all

	variant[]: traffic.incentro.orleans
- Renault Truck Factory still not in game. I remember that Renault truck factory will be in DLC France when Renault Range-T is out. Where is it?
and so on.
SCS always says that they "work hard" and some things "not in future list". This reminds me small kids who throws out on toy when see new one toy.
That's not serious...

Dear Piva, if you want to catch up with graphic improvements, get ready to buy new stuff. Sad but true.

No you dont. If you want new graphical improvements at ultra level may be. We are being carefuly about game stays in its recommended specs. There is always options to on/off

If SSAO drops your FPS below 60 reduce its level or close it like before. Or if yoiu liked SSAO and keep it, you can try other solutions like reducing your scale from 400% to 300% or mirror resolution etc. etc. Simple solutions for each and every individual.

Reducing FPS from 120 to 110 does not count above your monitor refresh rate does not count :D

Dear Piva, probably but not necessarily, because most of the improvements will be optional.

Bear in mind that AC:O gobbles up CPU cores like a... well, it eats them up, is what I'm saying. It's pretty well optimised for use in a multicore environment. ETS2/ATS do not.

If SCS SSAO drops FPS now. What resources will need this game when you correct sun shadows length and angle at early morning and evening?
This is graphics! Hey SCS you can do this? ;)

I have a CPU from 2013 and a graphics card that I renewed in 2016 ... I play at 1440p, maximum graphic details, hundreds of mods and scale 400% ... and stable 60fps.

Without Mods, vanilla game, I exceed 120fps, it is true that when I bought the computer I mounted high-end components, currently I still play most games with high quality and above 60fps.

I do not want to create a debate, but perhaps it is that you have computers that are not intended for games, perhaps you have to choose better what components the computer has when you buy it, it is true that ETS2 has an old graphics engine and can improve optimization, bu step by step...

The new graphics options are not mandatory! they can adjust it in the options and even disable them!

ETS2 has some recommended requirements, if your PC is below it, you have to adapt to the power of your computer, reduce graphics or not use Mods, the game requirements do not include Mods.

Yes, perhaps I am saying very obvious things, but I do not agree with some criticism about the new options graphics...

In the forum, users ask for a lot of graphic improvements but when SCS tries to bet on new things, there are always criticisms.

DX11 = OH no! some textures unsupported Mods, I will not update the game or stop playing, updating to DX11 was not a good idea!

FMOD = the sound mods are not working, I will stop playing or update the game, we want the old system back!

Graphics improvements = My old computer gets less fps if I activate this new option, I'm going to complain to the SCS forum ...

Excuse me friends, when SCS tries to advance I only hear criticism, ETS2 can get better performance and i am sure that more corrections and improvements will come in the future, but if your computer is old or is not intended for games, you have to adapt to it.

PS: And please don't compare ETS2 with games like GTA etc ... SCS is far, they don't have a budget of many millions of dollars that have studios like Electronic Arts, Rockstar etc.

My pc is from 2012 with i7 3rd gen. I upgraded the graphics last year 1070ti 8gb and increased the ram from 8 to 16gb. I run with everithing maxed locked at 60fps 1080p. both games run very smooth no fps drops or lags with light mods. I even have realistic mirrors, and in ATS I have hood mirrors to, whitch are performance eaters.
There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.
