Any chance of improving AI driving into players, or at least fines?

The recent sales reminded me how much fun I had with ETS2, and so i bought all the new content and started a new game.

Some things are better than they were years ago, but the AI driving into players is not.

I just pulled out of a toll plaza, already left enough to be directly in the path of a lane of traffic. Guidance lines were painted on the toll plaza, none of which I crossed. Some moron driver left the toll plaza from FAR behind me, and just simply drove into the back of my trailer. This is plenty annoying enough, but the game gives me a 480 euro fine for being HIT FROM BEHIND by someone not correctly following any laws.


Surely this is solvable. I could understand it not being solved when the game was new, but at this point I no longer can understand this.
