ETS2 1.39 Discussion
Re: ETS2 1.39 Open Beta Discussion
@piva I'm having the same on and off switch experience with engine sounds on 1.39.
Re: ETS2 1.39 Open Beta Discussion
Having tried out the ETS2 1.39 beta on macOS Catalina (10.15.7) my thoughts are thus:
1. performance is actually a lot better than on ATS. I don't have the random freeze crash that is all over the place in ATS.
2. It does crash when you knock over road signs though, in the same hang/freeze fashion. but at least hitting signs can be avoided and something I don't do often
3. Some stutters whenever you enter a city but not too bad for a beta.
4. Calais has an invisible wall on the freeway I am sure has been reported 15 times now.
5. When taking the ferry from Calias to Dover, the Calais>Dover ferry functions normally, but the Dover>calais ferry has no cars on it when entering it, and when the loading screen ends my truck was thrown back and damaged, and I ended up having to reverse out of the ferry ship (thankfully I didn't have a trailer)
In my experience it has been more stable than the ATS 1.39 beta on Mac OS.

Anyone else seeing massive CPU usage when alt+tabbing out of the game? All my cores are loaded up to 100% and my PSU is screaming for mercy.

I'm all for louder turbo, but not at a cost of 1000W
Re: ETS2 1.39 Open Beta Discussion
It's a known issue that has been present since quite a long time. I hope SCS address it as soon as possible. But seems 1.39 didn´t bring any change in this aspect (once again)mackintosh wrote: ↑16 Oct 2020 10:00 Anyone else seeing massive CPU usage when alt+tabbing out of the game? @TheTiger
Inside the trailer browser I found an issue on the lowbed trailer while "transporting" a falsework or sub-structure, which is wider than the trailer, for the warning plates don´t seem to move outside signaling an overwidth cargo.

Also I´d like your and the communities´ opinion on the narrow motorway entrances and the short right turn lanes in Sweden while turning from a rural road onto a motorway, especially in the context of blocking trailer tyres due to a very low turn radius as soon as the truck´s direction diverses from the low-bed-trailer´s direction for more than 60 degrees. An example location would be in Jönköping driving westward towards the "E4" and turning towards "Helsingborg"
