Re: ETS2 1.40 speculation thread
should we put in this group those that complain because SCS didn't fulfil there personals wishes or should they be in a different group
There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

Isn't true that if you have dedicated topic post is considered off-topic other places?

Had you tried to ask them? Who knows, maybe you would get surprised.
So, they would end filling the forums with the same complains and pleas but out of place as addition... Or is that the joy of the past eve had made you trust that people all of a sudden are going to strictly respect forum placement rules?xXCARL1992Xx wrote: ↑01 Jan 2021 11:59create a new user group that isnt allowed to post in the mod section and move them in there, you dont ban anyone and the still can interact in the forum, just not in the mod section
I mean, we all have high hopes for this 2021 but if yours include that I think they are way too high.
Regards and happy new year

Jum, but to keep putting specific users on that list that doesn't allow them to post on mods sub-forums is tiresome...
Better to close directly all the mods sub-forums.
BTW is just me who sees the irony of being talking about ways to force people to off-topic so they could be banned on a topic that is about guess what will come with the new update.

I hate it when people who uses mods always complain to SCS saying your update has broke my mods now my profile won’t launch this is what I would say you choose to use mods so it’s not SCSs fault it’s the person who wanted to use them like Squirrel said in his mod guide USE MODS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Re: ETS2 1.40 speculation thread
"SCS, please cancel all future updates so that I can keep playing my obscure mod that hasn't been updated in two years."
On a serious note, I wonder why there are so many people like this. If you look at other games with big Modding communities (HOI4 for example) people are usually excited about the new mechanics and are more than happy to wait for their favorite mod to be updated.

No idea, specially considering that they can remain in any previous version of the game they want. It's not that SCS forces us to update at all.
Re: ETS2 1.40 speculation thread
Also. My experience is that the higher quality mods are usually updated very quickly after a new update of the game. Maybe with the exception of maps like promods. But that takes a lot of work to update. And don't forget that the modders do all this hard work in their spare time.
