What's your favorite truck ??

This isn't exactly a very important subject but rather a public research.

Why you ask ?? Because during the time I've been driving in TMP all i see is Scanias, they're everywhere. I don't know why this happens, if it is because the people that play TMP are Scania fan boys or they just go with whatever everyone is using. Because from what I've seen so far, out of 10 trucks you'll see on the road, 5 are Scanias, 2 are Volvos, 2 are Mercedes and the 1 left is spread out through DAF, Iveco, MAN and Renault.

I want to see if Scania will also win in a poll made among more serious trucking fans.

Mine is DAF. What's yours ?

Oh,i can have only 1 choice?It's hard to pick between the DAF XF105,the Scania Next Gen R and the Renault Range T.
I will vote for the DAF XF,but the 3 trucks i mention are my 3 favorites.

I was going to say Scania 2009 R but I picked the Volvo FH. Both look good and both have very good sounds made by Kriechbaum. The Scania V8 sound has an almost legendary status but my personal opinion is that the Volvo FH sounds just a bit better.

Mine is a Renault Premium, that is the truck I've driven the longest in RL and I think that among trucks of it's age it's the best overall truck you can get, quality and interior comfort wise.
In game it's fun to drive, weaker engines create a nice challenge, but properly configured this truck is a real beast.

As for why you see so many Scanias on TMP (and in screenshot sections): TMP is mostly populated by kids and kids go for trucks with high power and lots of tuning, Scanias fit perfectly. When you try to search for customised European trucks, you will also find mostly Scanias, they are most often tuned and turned into showtoys. (I wonder if this means that people don't like they stock look and thus cover their up with kitchy tuning... ) This seems to be enough to appeal to younger audience which also happens to be majority of playerbase. Now I'm not saying that only kids use Scania, no, there are more adult players who go for them, but from what I've seen their Scanias are usually rather tame and clean.

@55sixxx what you see in TMP is mostly because Scania has the second more powerful engine and the 3D model of the truck is one of the best. That's why they are like a plague, followed in great numbers too by Volvo ones.

One little question. When you ask about favorite truck, I understand that you mean "to play with", right?

@Some newbie driver Yes, because if i considered all trucks IRL too, 10 options in the poll wouldn't even begin to suffice.

@Wolfi Renault does not make it into my Top 5 brands, but, most of the times, I'd rather drive the Premium or the Magnum over Mercedes, MAN and Iveco. I'm not very fond of the Range T tho, because the main thing i like about Renault is the front mirror that sits right in the middle of the windshield and that is no longer a feature for the T.

For me: 1. Volvo, lot of power and good handling, 2. Mercedes, good power, good handling, 3. Scania, lot of power, but somehow for me not the easiest to drive, 4. MAN, very compact truck that has good driving abilities.

Renault and Iveco are scrap trucks for me, if my boss would give me one to drive, I would quit my job.
