For me, the headlights are bright at night and the distance seems good too. Much better in this build for me. Pretty much what I experience IRL. I guess we all have different settings and preferences to how we like it in game and hopefully we will all get a happy medium :D

For me too, headlights is good for my taste. An option for adjusting the headlights distance will be awesome.

Something like this:

headlights cannot be too bright so as not to blind the drivers of oncoming cars.
therefore, they are not intended for home use and are set up when passing a technical inspection.
perhaps you want to get this dazzling effect from oncoming cars passing by. but how to implement it, it's like bringing the flashlight from your phone to your eyes for a second.

and in trucks, especially with a trailer, the headlights are not regulated in the same way as in small cars.
in small cars, headlight adjustment is caused by the fact that you can load a lot of weight in your trunk, and your front of the car then rises and the headlights start to blind oncoming drivers. and whatever it is, you manually can lower your headlights onto the road

there is a reason why the light ingame are not angles like hey should be, because else they would light up your cabin when they drive behind you like a disco, if this isnt fixed they wont change how the light is projected onto the street

Ahhh, right. I've forgot about this... "any source of light, instead sun, can't cast shadows"

I'm in the UK at the moment so it's gloomy all around

I still tend to have these weird fps drops on red lights, while passing other standing vehicles. It's not reflected in GPU usage though.
Lower your graphic settings.
With a 1070 at 1080p max settings, when i stop at a red light in a city for some reason the fps drops a lot. I also notice that the gpu and cpu usage goes to the floor as well.
What i did to solve it was to lower the scaling to 300% from 400%, that allows me to mantain 60 fps everywhere.

Quote removed - Don't quote the post above - Rule 2.12

I used the built-in steam overlay to measure fps

with a 1070 ti at 1080p all max settings, 400% scale 200% reflection (i5-3470 (ten year processor :!: ) 16gb ddr3 )
I get at day 85-90 fps when I drive in one of newest DLC Baltika in the center of city Pskov . when I pass the traffic light I see a drop for a second to 75-85 fps. (at night  fps rise + 5-10 for all  )

it's strange, but with the same settings for ultra in ATS I get much higher fps :o
I get at day 95-100 fps when I drive in one of newest DLC Colorado in the center of city Alamosa . when I pass the traffic light I see a drop for a second to 90 fps. (at night  the same fps rise + 5-10 for all  )
maybe this is due to the fact that I was using a Mack truck and did not see even a piece of the mirror.

in the center of city Alamosa at day - no see mirror 100fps - when look at the mirror 60-70 fps :D )
in forest in Port Angeles Washington at day - no see mirror 80fps - when look at the mirror 78fps :D )
mirrors kill your fps the most) but not everywhere I detected  )

WOW 1.40.0.105s -what can I say - this is the best public beta version that we have received for ETS2 and what I saw, the same is in ATS with 1.40.0.73s.

how much I envy those who have not tried 1.40 yet and are still playing at 1.39 8-) .
what a great first impression and enjoyment you get from what you see, when you first run 1.40.
just blows the roof.
everyone on their screens before starting 1.40 for the first time a warning should be written - pls , fasten your seat belts  )

So at this point, we can all agree that this is the balance. It should stay like this or if there is room for more, why not. :D

Hi, great update. Just the GPS on the glass which is overexposed at night, the long-range headlights are great but the low beams are narrow we can't see anything on the sides.
I use google translate sorry
