20% of the time to add a feature in the code
80% of the time to chase bugs and do fine tuning.
A bloody hell of a non-written law that ever happens no matter what.
Change one detail, test it, it seems it works, release it, under some non-expected circumstances it doesn't work, search for the source of the problem, rinse and repeat.
The glamour of the programmer's life.

So i tryed the new Update, yes Colors looks better, but guys, take a full yellow Truck, disable Tonemap over console and you see really pretty colors, looks many more realistic. Dont know if theyre dont see that, or why this in ETS is all so overlightet.

Activate console, the upper left corner click on Rendering, then Tonemap Debug, and set Tonemap dissabled

In latest ETS2 build (just a few days ago) SCS increased brightness for high beams, and I don't like it at all In previous build, the transition between high beams and nightly darkness was way more smoother, and looked more realistic, now high beams end up really sharp, just like they were cut off

I wouldn't get too attached to any lighting settings. Seems to me there's a long road ahead with many changes yet.
Re: ETS2 1.40 discussion
You are probably right, and those changes will not be satisfying for everyone

Re: ETS2 1.40 discussion
Can someone here, as a favour, tell me how to repair the old mod for the new light in the 1.40 version? Currently, the light looks blown out and very bright and I don't know which values should be used in the flares and light files.
Re: ETS2 1.40 discussion
I like the new lighting system, and the tweaks they are making are improving things (driving at night is actually quite enjoyable now, and driving by or through some places actually makes me smile), but have we lost some of those high-contrast bright sunny days?
