@plykkegaard I hope we will get it someday, but I don't expect all the weather spurts in one moment. It would be amazing if you had a view of the sunrise. Az can feel the warmth of these rays on my face when I think about it

People have very lofty expectation of this outdated engine. If you want graphical realism, there's always ACC or Automobilista 2, but make sure you have a Comet Lake and and at least one of the top Turings first. And that you like driving in circles
This is just a lighting upgrade, and as I understand it, it's the very first step in a very long road.

Age since first version is a problem?
So better don't use Microsoft Windows. That is a very old OS from 1985. We need something fresh and modern.
Don't use CPUs based on Intel's x86 architecture. Like all available Intel and AMD CPUs, for the PC. This architecture is from 1978, way to old.
Don't use Linux, MacOS or Android. These are all just running on top of a UNIX-like core. The UNIX operating system is from 1973.
Compared with that, Prism3D doesn't look very old.

the current windows is from 1993, NT has nothing to do with the old MS-DOS that was loved for its crash friendly environment

Re: ETS2 1.40 Open Beta discussion
My point was the everlasting development, from a user perspective. No user had to know about the technical trickery to achieve compatibility. If one changed from the old line to the new, it was just a new "Windows". Well, that was at least what was advertised. The ride could have been a bit bumpy.
