England rebuild

If I was going to pay for the UK, it would have to be a whole rebuild. As in toss is all in the bin and start from scratch.

I wouldn't want a UK refresh ala Germany they can do a refresh for free, but a complete rework from the ground up I'd happily drop some money for. They would also have to include MORE UK. There's so much open/wasted space in Wales and Scotland, I can live without Northern Ireland until an Ireland DLC appears, but in the current for it barely classes as GB let alone UK.

But SCS have said in the past they've no intention of making money in that manner.

TBH the UK is so badly wrong at this point that a refresh would probably involve as much work as a rebuild if they wanted any level of accuracy. Our motorway systems have changed, the hard shoulders on many are now classed as additional lanes during peak traffic times. The majority are smart motorways now, or in the process of being upgraded. TBF it wasn't that accurate when they made it and released it 11years ago, it's worse now.

2 cities for Wales and 3 for Scotland while England has 13, you can pretty much say they are non existent

Wow. England basically has the same amount of cities as Bulgaria. They definitely need to include more cities and minor locations. Which, of course, leads to the eternal scale question.

I think the best course of action is to just ask Pavel about the scale next QA.

I really doubt he's going to answer such a question. It would be an stupid way to ignite the "side" of the "scale-war" that will end outraged by the decision. They will flame Internet anyway once released, but better then than doing it for months before release thinking the more they yell they can change anything.

The scale of a future UK rebuild (that it's also hypothetical, but highly probable) will be whatever they want to and it's a decision we are not going to have any voice on it. It will depend purely on their internal technical and organizational reasons.

If SCS recreate England with a 1:15 scale, we have two inconvenient inconsistencies within the game:
- different scale: 1:19 versus 1:15
- different quality: Basemap, Going East, Scandinavia versus Vive la France, Italia, Beyond the Baltic Sea, Road to the Black Sea, Iberia
If SCS want ETS2 to still be alive in 10 years, those inconsistencies have to be addressed.

Different quality is unavoidable and different scale is irrelevant. Really irrelevant. People complaining about that should just complain about something else to don't be ridiculous. it's not there aren't other more objective things to complain about in the game.
