I didn't realise it until i came across this thread and then BAM!!, that's why i'm enjoying this DLC more than the two previous ones. I love that the majority of roads are highways and i don't find them boring at all. I drive 100% cabin view and all i see for the entire journey is the tarmac and traffic. I only ever look at the scenery when i stop for rest or fuel.
I'm dreading Heart of Russia as i'm thinking it will be very similar to black sea and baltic :(. After two years of painfully inadequate road networks, we finally have some western Europe advanced roads to drive on.

I'm the same as you @eonellivlem I much rather do freeway/highway driving then going through the back roads. I can just cruise at my own pace with having traffic disrupting me and do a higher speed limit compared to using back roads. And like you don't take much notice of the scenery when driving most of the time so to hear the most of Iberia is mostly highways/freeways is a good thing for me too.

Iberia is actually better than the Black Sea and its zipzag driving patters to me. Spain you pace yourself and drive more constant speed. Freeway driving does not bother me that just how Spain its not backroads like Black Sea was constant stop and go.

It is a truck simulator after all. And trucks need to get as fast as possible vom city A to city B. Therefore it is logical for SCS to connect all the cities in Iberia with highways first since these highways exist in reality as well.
There could be some more secondary roads in Portugal and most of all in the Pyrenees, but I guess they will add some later, as they did with Corsica for example.
Either way, I love the new DLC, Baltic and Black Sea were very tedious to drive and the landscape in the Baltics is VERY boing. So I am not looking forward that much to Heart of Russia. Flat, forests and ugly cities.
Next exciting DLC for me would be Balkans and Greece.

Well, the Baltic countries can't do anything about their landscape, it's not their fault their higher "mountain" reaches only 300m over the sea level. ;)

BTW; expect a similar terrain layout for the upcoming Russian DLC. Between the Carpathians and the Urals or Caucasus there's nothing but plains.

Maybe Russia will invade Ukraine, then there would be some more action on the roads.

But that's an average, They have the Carpathians so also big mountains with all the different landscape it means. In the whole Baltic region 300m isn't the average, it's the highest single point. And all the enormous plain on eastern Europe is more or less the same than Baltics. It's going to like to people that just want to see their truck rolling down infinite roads.
