Boxed version of Iberia

#1 Post by valakyvian » 06 Jun 2021 05:14

Hey, anyone know if there will be any boxed version of the Iberia DLC? This is the only one that is missing yet. I'm a collector.

Road to the Black Sea had a boxed version? You should post pictures of your collection, I'd be curious to see!

there is, but not from SCS but another publisher that does it for SCS, SCS is digital only, and in this box is also a steam key only

Does it come with a DVD by any chance? Or is it equivalent to a written note? I think some may be unaware that not every person on Earth has 24/7 internet access.

almost all boxed games are just a Steam Key, at least the DLCs for games are all keys only

@MT269 stand alone non-steam versions of the maps DLCs ended with Italy.

If you mean a DVD to install the data of a Steam linked game anyway, that would be pointless. Those DVD must be made a few months before their sale. Of course, they can't be made when the DLC is in development (SCS isn't going to wait months to release on digital so the DVD could be ready). That means those DVD would start to arrive now for Iberia (for example, as an approximation). How many times has Iberia been updated already? So, the DVD will be useless because you should had to download again almost all the DLC because as mostly everything is in the big packed files. A single tiny change on them requires the download of the whole file again.

It was a simple yes or no question. And I would probably be correct in assuming that the answer is no.

No, it was a simple yes or no question. You also said "some may be unaware that not every person on Earth has 24/7 internet access". A simple yes/no answer would not explained you WHY not, and that's not because they don't care about people without a good Internet connection.

I would also probably buy a physical box with a fake DVD and a steam code for 50% more than just getting it on Steam. Can you imagine how nice a shelf would look with all the SCS maps on DVD (or even better, big box) spines?

Freakingly nice @oldmanclippy

Specially if the lateral cover art would be a mosaic to keep completing with every new release... don't make me salivate please! :P
