Just one thing are these ones basically the model equivalent to the previous gen CF? So eventually there will be like a full XF Model with all the chassis?

no the XG is a brand new model that is now the big brother of XF, the CF is the little brother of XF.

XG and XG+ are more or less just XFs with a bigger cab, especially XG and XG+ is no difference other then cab hight, DAF more or less shot their own knee with this splitting and it will cause confusion

Yeah XF and XG seems it would be enough (as Renault T and T High).

the XG is not only higher its also has 33cm longer cabin, its not anymore confusing than when scania presented their S series. Its a brand new model, and a bigger brother of XF, that is pretty clear.

this is exactly what i said, a bigger cab, but the XG+ is total nonsense, it would be the same if Scania would called the Highgline Scania S+, they took roof options (Space Cab and Super Space Cab) and made new "trucks" out of it wich is total nonsense

Yes, of course. I meant "wrong for me", meaning "something that I cannot undestand why, but I don't like". Something, so not too much clear even for me, like if it was out of place. Perhaps too long a cab. I dunno.

if DAF kept calling it the XF nobody would say a damn thing about it.. so i agree with carl..
the old cab was outdated.. and DAF had the LF CF and XF running for a looooooong time

Simple: There are new length regulations for truck cabins in the EU since 2020-09-01. Type approvals for new, aerodynamically enhanced truck models allow a cab that is up to 90 cm longer (if I remember correctly) than the current 2,35 m EU cabins. DAF is the first manufacturer taking advantage of the new regulations.
