New DAF arrived on Euro Truck Simulator 2

@Max Don't be jinx.
Re: New DAF arrived on Euro Truck Simulator 2
Do you know the reason for that? Is it the inaccuracy for calculating the distance you can drive, or don't truck brands want to implement yet another figure in their dashboard? I find it very useful to plan refuel stops and so do many others I think (I may be wrong tho). And it doesn't look that much work to add to a digital dashboard as well.

Re: New DAF arrived on Euro Truck Simulator 2
I wonder if Daf have thought of adding a rear view camera that will show on the front view screen when the truck is in reverse (possibly combined with a rear view from the trailer when attached)
the latter of course won't work if it hauls a different trailer everyday, but if the same trailer is always used, or most of the time this could be useful.
In game such could be added to owned trailers for example, but I think it will be useful just to hook up a trailer, specially at night and bad weather I sometimes find it hard to do it right in one go.
I've only had a similar system with a 3rd party camera system on a rigid (just front (or was it deadzone view on the side...? it's been too long to remember exactly, was on Dutch post trucks) and back), but it was very helpful for reversing where precision mattered, like a dock shelter.

Re: New DAF arrived on Euro Truck Simulator 2
Haven't read the whole thread so excuse me if it has been discussed already. To me it seems the new DAF takes a lot of diesel. I'm using the MX-13 355 and have something like 3000+ km on the clock and my average consumption is ~37 l/100 km, mainly driving in Spain. Average cargo weight is probably 18-20 ton. My Scania NG R500 uses slightly over 30 l/100 km
Re: New DAF arrived on Euro Truck Simulator 2
There is no fuel consumption line in the engine files. For some reason it uses as much fuel as the Euro 5 version of the XF.

Ah, I understand. It probably will get better now since I've recently installed your drivetrain mod
Re: New DAF arrived on Euro Truck Simulator 2
The entire driveline data is a joke. It’s a real immersion killer and I hope they revisit this during the XF update.

I can't help but wonder why they put almost no effort in properly simulating the little that actually can be simulated within the game's limited framework.
Re: New DAF arrived on Euro Truck Simulator 2
Kinda disappointed by this new DAF.
Pros and cons as per my observations:
+ Huge cab.
+ Has rear view mirrors.
+ Looks good.
+ Possible to remove side mirror.
- Lacks customization (though I'm sure it'll come sooner or later).
- Mirrors are weirdly shaped.
- No interior color choices (besides door panels and dashboard).
- No analog gauges (and digital dash is meh).
- Sunvisor is invisible from inside of the truck (WTF?!).
- The only air vent is on the extreme right of the dashboard (WTF?!)
TL,DR: I'm back to my T Evo. Feels way more right in that truck.

the driver air-vents are behind the wheel. Look closely.
