not to be in a rainy mood.. but just wondering.. for those who like the bottom window.. when are you gonna use it??
as most of the driving is highway, B-road and straight on A to B citys driving without cyclists and pedestrians getting close to your truck..
so to me its just a style things.. as if i drive 2000 to 3000 km deliveries.. i will not use a bottom window because i will be looking straight ahead most of the time

it would become usefull if you got like really crowded places and cyclists and pedestrians are going everywhere around your truck like IRL

also with a bottom window.. special paintjobs also need to be moddified so the paint doesnt cover the window or that the skin crashes because there is a texture in the way...

and you still drive into cities with your truck, doesnt matter if it is highway, and with the window you can also remove the mirror at the top of the door, so with this DAF is really the first and only truck that is mirror less

Very often happens that car is next to you in right and you cant see it on mirrors so when you change line to right you crash with it. With bottom window you'll see the car. In US trucks small door window is very useful in ATS.

i use the cornereye/ front camera and the side mirrors/cameras for that to see if there is a car next of me.. if you adjust them propperly and not overlapping you can see what is next of you without any problems..

Is it true the DAF 2021 doesn't show the amount of kilometers that can be driven without the need to refuel? I've searched through the dashboard menus, but couldn't find a mode showing the above value.

Why should we use it? It can be even for purely cosmetic purposes. Moreover are some good number of other components in the truck that doesn’t have any real functionality in the game (like wheel covers, we don’t get fined if we bobtail without having one). At least this one isn’t like that.

The paintjob thing would definitely be an issue, but I hope SCS figures out a way. This is the only customisation that’s lacking in the truck as of now.

I'm wondering if a new dlc will come out like the XG tuning dlc or something like that.

Most probably. But I’d say it’s too early to expect one. Three brands are in the queue already.

This is the first truck released in ETS2 that’s developed after the Volvo VNL’s release (the TGX and Renault T were in development during 2018 or before). The four ATS trucks that came after VNL lacked tuning options like bug deflectors and deer guards, unless they are stock offerings. So I guess this would be the new norm for for future trucks as well, irrespective of the game.

there is no such info.
and if i may guess the future it will never be in any of newer trucks anymore ...
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.
