ETS2 Windows Support

For obvious reasons (Microsoft interests), Vulkan support in Xbox X is not as good as DX.

Would you risk your business with only Vulkan support?

even IF SCS would add Vulkan (Linux, macOS via MoltenVK and Windows 7/8/8.1) the moment they release it also on Console the still would need a 3rd API because Sony thinks it is awesome to have a butcher up API with parts from everything and custom

but replacing DX11 with DX12 and OpenGL with Vulkan is the option SCS has to go, obviously DX11 would be deprecated the moment Vulkan is implemented

I agree. DX 12 (PC + Xbox) and Vulkan (Windows, Mac, Linux) and, if they want, support PS5 too with another API. This is the more logical way.

please keep in mind that not everyone has the financials to buy new hardware.. so i would be happy with dx11/dx12/opengl and vulkan as options.. all of them if possible..

im very poor.. im stuck with my fx8350, 16gb ram and amd r9 280x here.. currently runing win7 as im happy with it and it still does what is shell, stable secure and everything.. if dx11 goes i please scs to let me still use opengl at least..

ill wait and see.. im have no problem switching to linux.. but then opengl it still is as my gpu doesnt do vulkan!

Am I just being stupid or is his CPU an FX8350?

You can run windows 10 on a bloody Pentium 4 from like 2004 so why wouldn't a cpu from 2012 not work? There are plenty of people using Intel sandy bridge cpu's on win 10 so I don't know why the amd equivalent wouldn't work.

And he says he's poor with 16Gigs of RAM when the standard PC is actually 8, go imagine 8 or 10 years ago when he purchased hos actual one. And I'm playing pretty well with an AMD card 3 gens older than his one... He's just over-reacting. No, he has not a high end PC on actual standards; but has hardware more than enough to play decently the game.

Ok it might not run Win 11 but then Win 10 is gonna be supported till 2025, even then I bet theres a good chance 11 would run on their system as we won't know the final reqs for a while anyway.

16gb of ddr3 could've been an upgrde a few years down the line after the system was built. After ddr4 was introduced you could buy ddr3 for dirt cheap

ofc Windows 11 will run on it, the list MS provided for it just lists CPUs that still get updates, especially because Windows 11 has a new driver model that can make all older updates/patches unusable and those CPUs that dont get updates anymore "not supported"
