I don't really see any problem since the choice is yours. Just play vanilla without mods if you want to join random convoys / don't want to install any mods.

like you behave i dont want to play with you ever, convoy is meant for friends not for strangers meeting together, this isnt an MMO this is more of a local multiplayer over the internet and the limit is 70, SCS wont change this to less mods

I'll just say this much about it.

If you don't want to play with (many) mods, you should just take advantage of TMP's offer. For me, I don't need the TMP multiplayer because it is simply not monitored properly and people can do what they want.
I only use SCS Konvoi with friends I've known for a while and who know how to behave.

The amount of mods is of little interest to me. Our map in ATS alone consists of at least 20 mods. And the performance doesn't really suffer in general. Only the AI behaviour is ridiculous. But that's been the case for years. Nothing will change there. The spontaneous actions of the AI vehicles during random events (SCS events) is quite exhausting.

I very much welcome the convoy mode and enjoy driving around with my VTC colleagues and friends in our tuned trucks.

i highly disagree, i have several vanilla sessions on Convoy with total strangers (all friends you have where strangers at one point) that where fun, after all you only need to arrange pickup, drive, drop-off. Not like you need to know other person and rely on his skills like in other games.
For me and probaly others with friends who are not interrested in Truck Sims i have to rely on strangers if i want some online play.
If we talk about modded convoy I agree with you, that is for friends not the "public".

VANILIA profile is for playing with strangers. And this is working very nice. Problem starts, when you reach random player that have 50 mods on their profile. This won't work. This is for closed group, like VTC or friends.

The idea of Convoy with mods for me also becomes something exclusive, with friends. For I can have an exclusive mod, or my friend can have exclusive mod, where only we 2 have access and do not want other people to have access to it, anyway...

Now the vanilla session can become something more public because there may be another person with vanilla profile that is just wanting a companion to play together or just a person to talk in the room while they do different routes.
