hence why I turned ot right down.

i think it feels a lot better than straight out of the box, however gear driven mechanism rather than a belt set up means that the G29 family will probably always be a bit grindy. SCS need to just tweak it at their end. Im going to persist with the set up I have done, but have also noticed some grumbling and griding when i dropped back to 1.41.

I found out the reason for the grinding sound and feel of the logi 920, it was the G-Hub software. I uninstalled it and installed the old 9.02 gaming software and the wheel is back to being smooth and noise free, but, whoever did the FF for the 1.42 update for a logi920 must have arms like popeye. I'm closing in on 70 years old and with all sliders to the far left i feel the need for someone to help me pull the wheel round so i can corner at high speed. SCS, how about a force feedback mode for senior citizens. seriously, the wheel was hard enough to turn at default let alone with all sliders to the left!

Another thing.... i went back to V1.41 and the wheel -whilst all other FF settings are good- the game appears to retain the high speed cornering return, it's popeye time at high speed even after recalibrating the wheel. Also a drop in framerate with 1.42. Before anyone chimes in with it's your system, i have an amd 5 3600 with an amd 6800XT card more than enough for this game.

Ive tried a little bit more, and I can't find the perfect balance yet, I did the rest all control settings, including keys. But that didn't help at all.

Oh well I guess we will have to wait for a patch (of some sort) or someone who can find out whats the best settings for G29.

@wujek600kv You can't use old force feedback unless you revert to 1.41.

Has anyone tried "Special Transport" with the new FFB. I can describe it as horror. It has nothing to do with reality !!!

Everything will be okay in the end, and if it`s not okay, it`s not the end.

It's from the blog. I'm driving car for more than 20 years and never encountered that effect... Maybe wrong car am I using? Sorry, this effect must go away. It's nothing like real car behaviour on my gt25 wheel. It must go smooth through 'zero' point... It's the biggest drawback of the new ffb. Rest can be set up more or less to your liking.

"Why does it feel like the steering wheel seemingly stops for a while during centering after letting go when I’m in a turn with the truck?

This is the consequence of the vehicle's movement reacting to the fast steering and the resulting forces on the wheels at that moment. A similar phenomenon can be observed in real-life vehicles in such situations"
