Good to hear that it worked for you, it's been a while, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. But just as a game is always updated, this also applies to other software and drivers.

1.The opinions of all Logitech steering wheel users on the best FFB settings seem to differ widely to me, but one thing is certain: no one likes engine resonance. This makes a lot of sense because even with very low settings it makes way too much noise.
2.Driving condition: Driving slowly on a small roundabout
When you turn the wheel, you expect support from the FFB
At the moment it's the opposite, the steering wheel is clearly working against what I want to do, which is to steer in the right direction.
This is accompanied by a jerky steering wheel.
3.The only solution to obtain a less rattling and noise-producing G29, and to remove the jerkiness was to apply 5% centering spring force.
4.This also solves the dead zone problem for 99%.
The advantages of the new ffb are certainly still present and the disadvantages much less.
In other words, a much more pleasant feeling when driving the truck on a winding road with lots of sharp turns.
The same forces constantly applied by the old FFB are no longer applicable, even with the center spring switched on there is a clear difference in favor of the new FFB

Sorry if this has already been mentioned. The FFB acts very strange when driving any truck that has 2 steering axles. Also did similar when I raised the tag axle on a truck with only 1 steering axle.
The issue is the ffb fluctuates between heavy and light when steering apx a quarter of a turn even at around 10 MPH. I guess it feels like the ffb disaapears momentarily.
Is there a more suitable place I should post this?

These settings were posted on the ProMods Discord as a good starting point. It works well with my G29 wheel. Change these values in your controls.sii file in your profile:
From there you can tweak the sliders, but it seems like a small adjustment can have a big effect.
I think these values can still make the steering seem a little light at higher speeds, but it's not bad and should be able to be dialed in more with some careful adjusting.

I just noticed something else, it could well be that depending on the weight of the truck and the load, the response to the force feedback settings is different. There is even a difference between the trucks of different brands. This is going to be fun...

@EricF : this matches the screenshots of my G29 setting above, with the idea that friction should be higher than gain for the Logitech G29.
My recommendation would be to disable all the "extras" while tuning the force feedback because they just add noise to the FFB settings. The extras being:
- c_ff_gain = Overal gain with a range of 0-10. Then 5 would be 50%, slider in the middle.
- c_ff_fricton = Inertial fricton with a range of 0 -1. Then 0.75 would be slider at 75%.

"It could be" no, it IS. SCS developers have already explained it several times. New FFB effects are created base on the real-time physics calculation for the truck when you drive. And those physics change with every model, every axle setup, every axle status and, of course, the whole load we are hauling. Game physics aren't still perfect in the game (they are more than aware of that); but the general basics are there and have noticeable effect. Trucks behave differently thus FFB should do the same.
You have not to tune your game options to be comfortable doing certain haul job. You have to search how to tune your game options to have the overall response you consider realistic (or comfortable for you). And the final response will vary depending on your current job, exactly as it should. Like in racing game, when one searches the overall FFB setup that likes but then every car will behave depending on its characteristics.
Of course, it could still happen that, after consider everything (check no interference with drivers, no old FFB plugins messing, no physics mods that collide with SCS calculations...) and search through all the sliders; you couldn't find a setup eliminates some weird effect (let's say, wrong FFB response at centering). Then you would need to reach developers (preferably opening a bug report) so they could check your specific setup and wheel device to see what can they do to help you.

@thesimp I have tuned my ffb the way you mentioned and it is quite good but the weird almost pulsing ffb with the 2 steering axles and with tag axle raised is still there unfurtunately. I am on Fanatec CSL Elite btw but getting my CSL DD next month

I will tell you about my experience with my thrustmaster T150.
For the first four hours, I hated the new ffb system, even thinking of going back to version 1.41.
The following hours, I adapted, and made small adjustments here and there, until I had a good feeling, with this settings:
