The FFB engine in logitech g29 starts to heat up after upgrade 1. 42, does not have the same function as before, my g29 steering wheel suffered damage and has become unusable after testing the update
Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
After some time fiddling around with the settings and a lot of trail and error, I finally got the FFB to where I want it, and I gotta say SCS are definitely heading in the right direction. Sure there are still a few little glitches and hiccups to smooth out, and probably also more work on the physics of the game, but I definitely say this of FFB is definitely way better then the glorified cantering spring call FFB we had before.
Great work SCS and I can’t wait to see the improvements in the future.

After all those years Im still wondering why users of steering wheel have to see also the virtual one. It feels so strange to see it twice, not to mention desync of movement as some of you are reporting.

Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
It took me a while to tweak it to better acomodate my ancient (but still good and working) wheel but now I'm satisfied and happy with the improvements. I'm reaping the benefits after a lot of trial/error, but it was worth it.
Best Regards.

The same goes for me, I hear and see many complaining about this FFB, but I find that what bothers you the most is that you need to review your settings...
In this case, don't ask for the game to evolve and you won't have any settings to redo lol !

Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
You know you cand disable the virtual one, right?
I think it's r_steering_wheel 0 or something like that.
Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
Wasn't there an option to turn the steering wheel display off in-game? Or am I confused with another game (AC or ACC)?
Anyway, for the VR players out there it's nice to have the wheel displayed, since you won't see your physical one with the goggles on
