Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
So Why was this rework needed ? , I just updated to the version 1.42 to try it out as the promods etc got updated, but ohh man, at first i found the new Force Feedback nice, now after the first 220km, its a disaster.
It either feels way too Loose/Flimsy or too tight and the wooble effect when you let the wheel go is terrible, /Sure it may be Realistic but atleast give me the option to turn it off, i mean its great effort for sure because there are more details in the FFB but at this State, i probably wouldnt even considering updating to any new Version if this wont get improved// Atleast for me unplayable, something just doesnt feel right after many years of Playing, almost to the fact that i want to play less with the new System. But we will need to see if something will change.
Till then i continue Playing on the Version 1.41 #Never Change a Running System

@Firebird25 The old system worked well for some players and did not work well for a lot of players. The new system works well for most players now and not well for some players.

"I don't like the new FFB, how can I get my old FFB back?
Since the old centering was a simple spring effect, you can always turn down the Low-speed centering, High-speed centering, and Internal Friction to zero and enable spring centering in your wheel's hardware profile settings. That will give you a similar FFB sensation as in older game releases."

Hi guys, how can i make the game to have a real 1800 steering wheel on truck ? I see that is an option but it changes only the animation in game. For example if i turn left, real life steering wheel goes half, but in game goes twice. I have a g920.

Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
The animation of the game goes relative to the turning radius of your wheel. If you turn your wheel 100% in eal life, it will turn 100% of the range configured into the game animation. Your IRL wheel has 900º turn radius. If you configure the game as 1.800, each degree you turn your wheel it will animate double in the game.

You are on g920 you have only 900 degrees steering. And you want to have 1800 degrees of course it wont sync with in game wheel.Loyal4ets2 wrote: ↑04 Nov 2021 22:51 Hi guys, how can i make the game to have a real 1800 steering wheel on truck ? I'm already looking for a way to mod my G27 so that it can do 2520 degrees.

Probably best by getting a direct drive wheel

What it does is making the wheel match the steering ratio of the 1800° steering of a truck around the center, and polynomially decrease the steering ratio around the edges, i.e., make the front wheels "catch up" to full lock since you can't turn past 900°.

Hi @Loyal4ets2, on your screenshot you show a backup folder (.bak in the name). If you go to the profiles folder, you should be able to identify the last used profile by Date modified.
